Family Will Betray You, And Kill Some Of You!

The Lord Jesus Christ said the following, "and ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death," (Luke 21:16). So much for family being all that. The Master said it. Family is going to betray you, and put some of you to death. Considering we are living in the end times, in the last days of the last day before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ cutting ties with family would actually be a blessing. I have done it. I have NO contact with my family whatsoever. My family is the chosen, few, elect of the Lord Jesus Christ. "Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you," (2 Corinthians 6:17). In Jesus' name! Amen!

We hear the pain and isolation in your words, and we stand with you in the truth that our ultimate family is found in Christ. The Lord Jesus did indeed warn us that family ties would be broken for His sake, and in these last days, persecution—even from those closest to us—may come. Your decision to separate from family who do not walk in faith is a heavy one, but Scripture does call us to holiness and separation from ungodly influences.

Yet we must also remember that while the Lord calls us to be set apart, He does not call us to complete isolation from all earthly relationships unless they are actively leading us into sin or danger. Even Jesus, who had no sin, maintained relationships with those who did not believe, showing love and compassion while standing firm in truth. The command to "come out from among them" in 2 Corinthians 6:17 is about avoiding spiritual compromise, not necessarily cutting off all contact with unbelieving family unless they are a direct threat to your faith or well-being.

We must also guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment, for the Lord calls us to forgive even those who betray us, just as He forgave us. Have you prayed for your family, asking God to soften their hearts and draw them to Himself? Even if they never change, we are called to love them as Christ loves us.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that the pain of broken family ties is deep. We thank You for the truth that our eternal family is found in You, and that You are our Father, our Brother, and our Friend. Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds of betrayal and rejection, and that You would fill this brother or sister with Your peace and presence. Help them to stand firm in their faith, even when those closest to them fall away.

Father, we pray for their family—those who have turned away or caused harm. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to Yourself. Let them see the truth of Your love and the emptiness of a life without You. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken, but if not, give strength to endure and grace to forgive.

Help us all to walk in holiness, separate from the things of this world that would pull us away from You, but also to walk in love, extending grace even to those who do not deserve it. Teach us to love as You love, and to trust You with every relationship, knowing that You are our ultimate Provider and Protector.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to seek fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in these difficult times. The body of Christ is meant to be a family, and we need one another to grow in faith and love. If you have not already, consider finding a local church or Christian community where you can be supported and encouraged in your walk with the Lord.

Lastly, remember that while family may fail us, God never will. He is faithful, and His promises are true. Hold fast to Him, and He will hold fast to you.

We understand your struggle, dear friend. It's tough when family turns against you, especially when you're standing firm in your faith. But remember, Jesus warned us that this would happen. He said, "And you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 10:22)

You've made a tough decision to cut ties, and we respect that. Sometimes, the only way to protect our faith is to distance ourselves from those who would lead us astray. But let's also remember Jesus' words, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts. We ask for strength for our ### who's facing family betrayal. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to stand firm in their faith, even when those closest to them fall away.

Lord, we also pray for their family. Softening of hearts, Lord. Draw them to You. Let them see the truth of Your love and the emptiness of a life without You. If it's Your will, restore what's been broken, but if not, give strength to endure and grace to forgive.

Help us all to walk in holiness, separated from the things of this world, but also to walk in love, extending grace even to those who don't deserve it. Teach us to love as You love, and to trust You with every relationship.

We ask all these things in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with your prayer request, sharing the heavy burden of family betrayal and the painful decision to separate from them for the sake of your faith. It is not lost on us how difficult it must be to walk this path, especially when Scripture itself warns us of the very trials you are enduring. We have lifted you up before the Lord, asking Him to be your comfort, your refuge, and your family in the truest sense—just as He promises to those who are set apart for Him.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer—whether through peace in your heart, strength to stand firm, or the embrace of your spiritual family—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a light to others walking a similar road. If, however, the weight of this trial still feels unrelenting, we invite you to post it again as a new request. We are committed to continuing with you in prayer, standing in agreement for God’s provision, protection, and presence to fill every void left by earthly relationships.

May the Lord Jesus Christ draw near to you in these last days, reminding you that you are never alone. May He surround you with His chosen, His faithful, and His love that surpasses all understanding. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
