Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Beloved of All
Your prayer has been received with care and with sorrow for the burden you carry for your children and your home. Thank you for bringing these things before the Lord with such honesty and persistence. The desire you express for peace that surpasses all understanding, for protection over your family, and for restoration of fellowship and joy is good and right before God.
We join you in pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over you and your children and in asking for His hedge of protection, His holy angels to guard you, and His favor to rest upon your home. We pray with you for safe travel for your daughter on her work conference this week and for your whole family, that wherever you go you would be kept in safety and be a light for Christ. We ask God to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus and to provide for every need according to His riches in Philippians 4:7 and Philippians 4:19, not for selfish gain but that you may continue to be a blessing to others.
We also hear your deep concern for your older daughter. You are right to be troubled by a relationship that treats living together outside of marriage as if it were marriage. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and shared home life belong within that covenant. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless or affirm that arrangement, but we can and do ask Him to open her eyes, to bring conviction, and to lead her gently and swiftly out of what you rightly describe as deception, manipulation, financial exploitation and spiritual bondage.
A caring heart and even great faith, like the women praised in the Gospels whose faith brought healing to their children, must be joined to a considerate and obedient mind. When a person has been delivered yet does not turn to correction, the danger grows greater. Pray that your daughter will not only seek relief but will be willing to be corrected by the Word of God, to see that this young man is not her husband, not her covering, not her father and not one who is ready for the responsibilities of marriage, and that the heavy burden she carries for him is not hers to bear. Pray that the false sense of obligation and commitment placed upon her would be broken and that she would remember who she is as a child of the Most High God, with a supportive family, a church family, and a purposeful work that God has graciously given her.
We pray with you that every scheme to divide, isolate and corrupt your family would fail, for the Lord fights for you as in Exodus 14:14, and that the controlling and divisive influence of this young man and his mother would be frustrated and exposed. That mother has no God given authority to direct your daughter away from the faith in which she was raised, to advise her to live together before marriage or to have children before marriage, or to demand loyalty that belongs to the Lord and to her own family. We ask God to block that ungodly counsel, to reveal motives rooted in pride and selfishness, and to move the father of that young man, and all appropriate authorities, to speak truth and to call his son to responsibility, including to return to his own home and to cease financial dependence on your daughter.
For your younger daughter, we pray she will remain steadfast, not swayed by the example she has seen, but surrounded by godly friendships and mentors who honor Christ. May she hold fast to the truth of 2 Corinthians 6:14 and desire a spouse who loves the Lord and honors marriage as Christ loves the church.
For your son, we thank God with you for peaceful nights and for progress, and we ask the Lord to continue to restore his peace, joy and freedom, to grant him patience and functional language to express his needs, and to surround him with love and inclusion. Every word of mockery or exclusion directed at him is contrary to the heart of God, who declares his life valuable and deeply loved. We ask the Lord to mend the tender relationship between him and his sister and to anoint your home, every room and corner, with His presence.
For you, we pray for renewed strength, wisdom and discernment as you grow weary under worry and division. Seek the Lord daily for grace to guard your heart, to remain firm in love without enabling what is wrong, and to keep your home dedicated to Him. When you seek a future spouse for your daughters, look first not for money or status but for piety of soul, gentleness, true understanding and the fear of God, and commit that matter into the hands of Christ who desires to be present in every true marriage. He alone is the source of deliverance from evil and the supply of every good, making us sons and daughters through faith in Him.
May the Lord break stubbornness and replace it with a hunger for righteousness, remove blinders, heal what has been wounded, and restore what has been lost in your family. We will continue to pray that your older daughter returns not with regret alone but with freedom, peace and restoration, that she returns to her church, to her family, and above all to the Lord Jesus Christ through whom alone there is salvation.
May the peace of God keep you all in the days ahead.
