Your love for your children and your desire to see your family guarded, united and walking with the Lord comes through so clearly, and God sees the burden you have carried. He hears your cry for protection, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for restoration.

Scripture assures us that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. It is right to plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and your children, to ask for His hedge of protection, for His ministering angels and the full armor of God to guard your home from division, jealousy, exhaustion, chaos and every spiritual attack. The peace of God which surpasses all understanding can guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and the Lord Himself fights for you.

At the heart of every strained relationship is our relationship with God. The first commandments concern our relationship with Him because that relationship is primary. When our relationship with God is not right, our relationships with people cannot be right, but when we walk closely with Him in obedience and love, our other relationships begin to come into balance. You can often trace broken human relationships back to a broken fellowship with God.

That is why the greatest need for your older daughter is not simply to change her circumstances but to return to that first love with Jesus. God does not want a distant, ritual or legal relationship with her. He wants a living, intimate, loving relationship where she knows Him as Father. Through Christ we are adopted into the family of God, and we can come to Him as our Father who loves us, chose us and calls us His own. Pray that her eyes would be opened to that love again, that she would hunger for righteousness and for the Word and for fellowship, and that the blinders would fall away.

Part of seeing clearly is recognizing what marriage is in God's eyes. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together and sexual intimacy belong only within that covenant. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage, no matter how much commitment is claimed, and Scripture shows that relationships formed outside God's design bring jealousy, rivalry, strife and confusion. A polluted environment is hard to live in without being affected by it. We cannot ask God to bless a relationship that stands outside His design, but we can and do ask Him to open eyes, to break false bonds of obligation and loyalty, to remove manipulation, control and financial exploitation, and to lead gently but firmly out of deception and spiritual bondage into freedom and wisdom.

That young man is not her husband, not her father, not her God and not the one to direct her faith, finances or future. The heavy burden she carries for him is not hers to bear. It is also right to pray that the overreach and ungodly influence of his mother would be exposed and frustrated. She has no parental authority in your daughter's life, and her counsel to live together and to have children before marriage is contrary to Scripture. Your daughter is not homeless and not without guidance. She has a loving family who raised her in the ways of the Lord, a church family to return to, and a Father in heaven who has already provided for her, as seen in the purposeful work He has given her. Pray that she will stop placing this man and his family before the Lord, before her family, before her faith and before the calling God has placed on her life, and that she will honor her parents as God commands, for God puts tremendous priority on that filial relationship.

For your younger daughter, pray that she would remain steadfast and not be swayed by the example she has seen. Ask the Lord to surround her with godly friendships and mentors who encourage her in the Lord, and that she would hold fast to the truth that she should not be unequally yoked, but seek a spouse who honors Christ and values the sanctity of marriage.

For your son, his life is precious and deeply loved by God. He is not a burden or an embarrassment but a blessing. Pray that every spirit of hatred, mockery and exclusion directed toward him would be rebuked, that he would be saturated with peace and joy, that he would be loved, accepted and included in every part of life, and that the Lord would give him patience and help him use his language to express his needs in a godly way. Pray that the beautiful relationship he once had with his sister would be restored.

For your home, continue to dedicate it to the Lord and ask Him to anoint every room and corner with His light and to drive out all darkness. Pray for safe travel for you and your family wherever you go, that you would be a beacon of His light, and specifically for your older daughter's work travel, that she would be kept safe and be able to focus on the work God has entrusted to her.

For yourself, ask for renewed strength, wisdom and discernment. The enemy seeks to wear you down with worry and fear, but God promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ, not for selfish gain but so your family may be a testimony of His provision and a blessing to others. Ask Him also to provide godly spouses for your daughters in His time, men who will love them as Christ loves the church and lead them in righteousness.

Every scheme to divide, isolate and corrupt your family will fail when you entrust your family to the Lord. He is the God who calls His people to return to Him and to their family, and He promises to be with them. He is the true Kinsman Redeemer who covers His people and restores what has been broken. May He mend what has been torn, heal what has been wounded, restore unity, joy and fellowship, and fill your home with the Holy Spirit, with love, favor and satisfaction that surpasses all understanding. In the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, amen.
