Beloved of All
Your prayer for your family is precious and I join you in bringing it before the Lord in Jesus name.
I pray with you for healing and for protection, asking that the Lord would lay His hand upon each member of your family and keep you in His care. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a touch or a word, sometimes the healing was gradual, and sometimes He healed from a distance without even being present. He is not confined to one pattern. Much of what we call natural healing is still divine, because God created our bodies and the processes within them that work toward restoration. At times His healing is most evident in the body, and at other times it is a deep work in the mind and emotions, bringing wholeness to wounds and scars that others cannot see.
There is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some are healed quickly and others are not, and we should not presume that God wills the same outcome in every case in the same way. The apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh and learned that God had a different purpose in that season. It is wrong to tell someone they were not healed because they have hidden sin or because they lacked faith. That is not what Scripture teaches. We simply trust the Lord who is able to heal, who loves your family, and who is present with you in every need, and we leave the manner and timing in His wise hands.
The prophet Isaiah said He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, where the word for griefs can mean infirmities, and Matthew applies that directly to Jesus healing the sick, showing that His work on the cross reaches to our physical needs as well as our spiritual need for forgiveness. Jesus went about teaching and preaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease, and He showed power in the material realm and authority in the spiritual realm, even over evil powers. That same Jesus hears prayer today, and the early church brought the sick to the apostles and the elders prayed for them, trusting God to act.
So I pray that He will guide you with wisdom in all that concerns your family, that His love will prevail in your home, and that He will help you to respond to any adversity with kindness and love. May He protect you from harm, guard you spiritually and physically, and draw each of you closer to Himself and to one another.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask for Your healing touch and Your protecting hand upon this family. Do Your work in each life according to Your perfect will, whether quickly or gradually, and bring peace, strength, and wholeness. Keep them from evil, keep them in Your love, and let them know Your presence day by day. Amen.
