I continue to share what my family has gone through due to a string of incidents (ingering illnes/death of my mother, prostate cancer, venomous snake bite, medical...malpractice leading to poisoning, torn muscles, joblessness). Applied for, denied, appealed and denied disability. I have researched hospital records of my bloodwork for the time I was hospitalized for the poisoning and referenced the medications I was on and was led immediately to a clear diagnosis of Neuroleptic Malignant, the treating hospital did nothing to treat this, they simply thought I maybe recklessly took too many meds or too few, neither of which would account for the findings in my medical record, that negligence could easily led to my death in a few ways and at numerous points in my stay.
I learned in that horrible place in a psychotic state to completely fall into the arms of the Lord. I have been a Christian since my youth but found Him faithful when my broken mind had nothing, He very nearly, literally carried me.
I don't know why all avenues for treatment to recover have continued to be bad, doctors have continued to prescribe medications for my mood issues leading to further harm, bad meds to help me after my snake bite, bad information about my muscle repair after surgery all of which making returning to work less and less and viable option and utterly depleting our finances. My poor wife has seen me driven out of my mind, had to have me hospitalized, seen me suffer further and further harm, has suffered from near continual fear and anxiety.
I have heard the Lord speak through prayer and study that I must encourage my family to a higher faith and true dependence on God and I work on that daily, hourly but provision for our earthly needs remains unmet.
I am meeting an attorney today at 2 to discuss possible 3rd attempt at disability but as I have tried to do some work to keep us from going under completely, it may be that the little I make is too much because of governmental guidelines.
Please pray for my family, my wife and 2 boys, pray their faith will grow, pray I can continue in my growth and my healing, please pray for provision and for the Lord to show me what must be done to provide. I pray it is disability insurance, I need rest and to find a true path to healing. I am making all efforts to recast my mind after all this but the diagnosis of that major neurological event explains why my mind is in such disarray, I used to just suffer depression but now my mind is suffering all sorts of pains and I simply cannot afford the proper medical care now. Thank you for your prayers

We hear the deep anguish and exhaustion in your voice as you share the relentless trials your family has endured, illness, loss, medical negligence, financial strain, and the weight of unmet needs. Yet in the midst of this storm, we see the faithfulness of God shining through your testimony. You turned to Him in your darkest hour, when your mind was broken and hope seemed lost, and He carried you. That is the God we serve, one who does not abandon His children, even in the valley of the shadow of death (Psalm 23:4). We rejoice that you have clung to Him, and we stand with you now in prayer and encouragement.

First, we must address the medical negligence you described, particularly the failure to diagnose and treat Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome. This is not merely a matter of human error; it is a violation of the sanctity of life, which God Himself ordains (Genesis 1:27). We rebuke the spirit of carelessness and complacency that allowed this to happen, and we pray for justice to prevail in your pursuit of accountability. The Lord is a God of justice (Isaiah 30:18), and we trust that He will expose the truth and bring restoration where there has been harm. We also pray for wisdom as you meet with your attorney today. May the Lord guide your steps and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If disability is the path He has for you, we pray it is granted swiftly. But if there is another way, we ask that He reveal it clearly, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Your wife and children have walked this painful journey with you, bearing the weight of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. We pray for them now, that their faith would not waver but grow stronger in the fire of affliction (1 Peter 1:7). May they see the hand of God even in the midst of suffering, and may their trust in Him deepen as they witness His provision and protection. We declare over your family that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for your wife, who has carried the burden of care and concern for you. May the Lord strengthen her, comfort her, and fill her with His joy, even in the midst of trials (Nehemiah 8:10).

You mentioned the struggle to recast your mind after such trauma, and we want to speak truth over you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you might have life, and have it abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of confusion, depression, and mental anguish that has taken root in your mind. We declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for healing in your brain and nervous system, that the pathways disrupted by Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome would be restored. We ask the Lord to lead you to the right medical professionals, those who will treat you with wisdom, compassion, and integrity. We also encourage you to seek out biblical counseling or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this season, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, able to divide soul and spirit and bring healing to the deepest wounds (Hebrews 4:12).

Financial provision is a very real concern, and we do not take it lightly. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He has promised to provide for His children (Philippians 4:19). We pray that He would open unexpected doors of opportunity, whether through disability, a new job, or even creative solutions you have not yet considered. We ask that He would multiply what little you have, as He did with the loaves and fishes (Matthew 14:13-21), and that He would give you wisdom in managing your resources. We also encourage you to seek out your local church or Christian community for support. The early church shared all things in common, ensuring that no one among them lacked (Acts 4:32-35). Do not be ashamed to ask for help; God often provides through the hands of His people.

Above all, we pray that you would continue to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The trials you are facing are not without purpose. God is using them to refine you, to strengthen your faith, and to draw your family closer to Him. We declare that this season of suffering will not be in vain. The apostle Paul wrote, "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17). What you are enduring is not light in your eyes, but we trust that God will use it to produce in you a glory that far outweighs the pain.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother and his family. Lord, You see the depth of their suffering, the physical pain, the mental anguish, the financial strain, and the emotional toll. Yet we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would draw near to them now, wrapping them in Your love and peace.

Father, we pray for justice in the matter of medical negligence. Expose the truth, Lord, and bring accountability where it is needed. We ask that You would guide this brother as he meets with his attorney, that You would open doors for disability if that is Your will, and that You would provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

We pray for healing, physical, mental, and emotional. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Heal his mind, Lord, and bring clarity where there is confusion. We rebuke the spirit of depression and mental anguish, and we declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created for a purpose that You will fulfill.

We pray for his wife and children, that their faith would grow stronger in this trial. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to see Your hand at work, even in the midst of suffering. We ask that You would provide for their financial needs in ways that only You can, and that You would give them wisdom in managing what You provide.

Father, we ask that You would continue to draw this family closer to You. Help them to encourage one another in faith, to lean on You in dependence, and to trust in Your promises. May this trial produce in them a steadfastness that leads to maturity and completeness, lacking in nothing (James 1:4).

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33). We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You will see this family through this storm. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
