🙌 Faithfulness Lam 3:23 🙇🏻 SHIFT Focus Duties New Things Isa 42:9, Heal, Forget Lies Behind Press to Upward Phil 3:13-14, Yet Save Former Rom 10:1

Nochaeld

Beloved
🙌 Our Father in Heaven, Thank You for Your covenantal devotion to Your people, Hos 3:1-5, Jer 3:2-25. Your mercy is daily and Your great faithfulness an ever-present certainty in an ever-changing life and world, Lam 3:23. Firstly, our prayer and private devotion and study even need those mercies, the ability to care for ourselves, our teaching and those You have in a way put under our care requires Your Spirit's inspiration, 1 Tim 4:16. And while we are still burdened, grieving, Rom 9:1-2, and pray for former relationships' salvation and enrichment, Rom 10:1, Yet we ask mercy and grace to SHIFT OUR FOCUS to GRACE FOR NEW THINGS Isa 42:9, to TRANSITION to be on guard for ourselves and the flock of God You placed under our charge here, among us, Acts 20:28-31, and meet pressing (PRIORITIES) needs, Tit 3:14.

🙏 We ask for a TRANSITIONAL SHIFT of mercy and grace for Worship, Prayer and Study, inner healing, Ps 23:4, creation of a clean heart, Ps 51:10, a restoration of the joy of salvation, Ps 51:12, and THEN sinners will be converted to You, Ps 51:13, and Open Doors for Evangelism, Fellowship and Counseling Rev 3:7-8... So thank You for what has been accomplished this far, 1 Sam 7:12, for time in worship, prayer and listening to the Word, souls, seeds, travel, transportation, finances, lodging and all the prayers You've answered and more, Eph 3:20. Thank You especially for the quiet, inexpensive, accommodating boarding, Acts 28:30-31, close to my aging patriarchal and matriarchal figures, and ask You give them assistance in practical and spiritual matters and allow me to further Your work in their lives along the same line, even with some godly company showing piety at home, 1 Tim 5:4, giving honor to whom honor is due, Rom 13:7, Eph 6:2-3.

🙏 So we ask You open a door from Heaven, Nearness, and doors to express the overflow of the Holy Spirit to Bible Studies, Prayer Meetings and for the lost to hear the Gospel, kindly work while we keep still, Exodus 14:14, and empower us to glorify You, to image God, which were it possible, we would not ask and trust You for it, Matt 6:9. I ask for grace to set all things in order, Tit 1:5, strengthen and finish each task, Rev 3:2, and meet every pressing need, Tit 3:14. So we first offer ourselves to You as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to You, our reasonable service, Rom 12:1-2, then You will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings, Ps 51:19, then be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit, Rom 15:16.

🙏 Help our running to be in a way that we might win, 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call, Phil 3:13-14, laying aside encumbrances and diversions that distract us from the primary task of Your call and commission to abide in Your Word and make disciples by propagating all You've commanded, that we might run the race that is personally set out before each of us, Heb 12:1-2... Thank You for Your love and leadership, the fellowship of abiding in Christ and guidance of The Holy Spirit, John 10:3-4, Rom 8:14, grace to save the past BUT MORE for new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with The Body and Bride of Christ, and formal study, Ecclesiastes 7:18. We ask for protection from temptation, Luke 11:4, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil, Matt 6:13, evil people, 2 Thes 3:2, and the evil one, John 17:15.

🙏 We still ask for full, authentic repentance to life and full trust in Christ and be regenerated, and the prodigy to be saved early, Rom 10:1, and protected and directed into the love and character of Jesus Christ, nourished on Your Word), 2 Tim 3:15, Yet the MAIN PRAYER is ability to PRIMARILY FOCUS on THE NEW, Isa 42:9, Isa 43:19, Isa 48:6. Thank You in Jesus' Name...

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and dependence on our Heavenly Father, who is faithful in all His ways. Your Word declares, "Great is your faithfulness. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:23 WEB). We stand on this promise as we lift up this prayer, trusting in Your mercies that are fresh and abundant each day.

Father, we acknowledge that our devotion, study, and care for those You have placed under our charge require the inspiration and empowerment of Your Holy Spirit. We ask for Your grace to shift our focus from past burdens and grief, even as we continue to intercede for the salvation and well-being of those who are no longer in our immediate fellowship. We pray for their hearts to be softened to the truth of the Gospel, that they may come to know You as Lord and Savior. Yet, we also ask for the strength to transition our focus toward the new things You are doing, as Your Word says, "Behold, the former things have come to pass, and I declare new things. I tell them to you before they spring forth" (Isaiah 42:9 WEB). Help us to guard our hearts and the flock You have entrusted to us, being vigilant against the schemes of the enemy and the distractions that seek to pull us away from Your purposes (Acts 20:28-31 WEB).

We seek Your healing and restoration in our own lives, Lord. Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10 WEB). Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, that we may boldly proclaim Your truth to others (Psalm 51:12-13 WEB). Open doors for evangelism, fellowship, and counseling, that we may be instruments of Your peace and grace in the lives of those who do not yet know You. We thank You for the answered prayers, the provision of quiet and affordable lodging, and the opportunity to minister to our aging patriarchs and matriarchs. Give us wisdom to honor them as Your Word commands, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise" (Ephesians 6:2 WEB).

Lord, we offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to You, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1 WEB). Empower us to set things in order, to finish the tasks You have set before us, and to meet every pressing need with diligence and faith (Titus 1:5, Revelation 3:2 WEB). Let our lives be a fragrant offering to You, that the Gentiles may be sanctified by the Holy Spirit and brought into Your kingdom (Romans 15:16 WEB). Help us to run the race set before us with endurance, laying aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2 WEB).

We ask for Your protection from temptation, sin, evil, and the schemes of the evil one (Matthew 6:13, John 17:15 WEB). Strengthen us to walk in purity and holiness, that we may be blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation (Philippians 2:15 WEB). Father, we continue to pray for full repentance and regeneration for those who have strayed, that they may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Yet, our primary plea is for the grace to focus on the new works You are doing in and through us. Let us not be bound by the past but press forward toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14 WEB).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His power that we are empowered to live lives that honor You. May Your will be done in us and through us, for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so openly. We can hear both the ache for those you still carry in your heart and the genuine desire to turn your full attention toward the new things God is setting before you. That tension is hard and familiar; many of us know what it is to keep loving and praying for someone while knowing we must not let yesterday’s unfinished stories steal today’s capacity to care for the flock right in front of us. Your longing to see souls saved and former relationships restored is not wrong, it mirrors God’s own heart for the lost. And at the same time, your sense that God is inviting you into a season of fresh worship, study, and evangelism feels sound and urgent.

What helps us in moments like this is to treat the grieving, intercessory part as a defined offering rather than a wide-open wound. You could set aside a brief, consistent window each day to pour out those specific names and ache before the Lord, then deliberately close it with a prayer of trust and shift to the work at hand. That way you honor both realities without letting the grief seep into everything else. You’re not forgetting what lies behind; you’re handing it to the One who never forgets. He knows the seeds sown, the prayers whispered, the miles traveled. He can tend that ground while you tend this one.

Your thankfulness for quiet boarding near aging family is beautiful. That kind of nearness is costly grace, and we’re grateful for it with you. As you settle in and set things in order, may you find that the Spirit meets you not only in the big transitions but in the small acts of practical love and faithful gathering. The new doors you’re asking for will likely open in ordinary, unforced ways as you simply abide and stay available.

We’re praying with you now:

Jesus, thank You that Your mercy is fresh every morning. We lift our friend to You, asking for the grace to make this shift, not by ignoring the past, but by trusting You with it fully while stepping into the assignments of today. Guard the time for worship, prayer, and study. Open the doors You want open for fellowship and evangelism. Give wisdom and tenderness for the aging family nearby, and let the overflow of Your Spirit be real in every practical need. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You have been numbering your days from the wrong month, counting the tears of winter as though spring had not been promised. But God has a way of unhinging the whole calendar of a soul, so that the grand Passover-moment when the blood was struck on the doorpost becomes the true head of your year. What is behind is behind; the Lamb has been slain, and you are safe. The angel of judgment has passed, and the new chronology of grace has quietly begun. Do not rub your eyes and wonder whether you dreamed it. Your Shepherd does not stand at the gate calling for the flock in general; He comes in among the shadows and calls for you by name, as if you were the only soul He had ever purchased. His voice has a personal ring to it, the tone that made Zaccheus scramble down from his branch without a second thought, because Christ had fixed His eye on that grasping little publican before the man had even spied the hem of His garment. Grace knows no distinction of place or past; it walks straight into Jericho and calls the chief sinner out of the tree. And when that call reaches the ear that the Spirit has unstopped, you do not weigh the odds or count the cost; you rise up and follow, for you know the voice.

You have asked for strength to shift your eyes from what lies behind you, and I think I understand something of that aching backward glance. Old affections, old hopes for souls still tangled in the far country, these are not light burdens to set down. The apostle who wrote of pressing onward also carried a continual sorrow in his heart for his kinsmen, and nothing in his words ever suggested that love should turn cold. But the pull of the race is forward. You cannot run while peering over your shoulder, and the course marked out for you now is not the same stretch of road you traveled before. Christ has new works, fresh mercies, unopened doors just beyond the next rise. He knows where the green pastures are hidden, and He does not need us to show Him the path. Take comfort in this: the very same Shepherd who walked all the way into the wilderness to fetch you when you were lost is the One leading you now. He has not brought you this far to abandon you in unfamiliar country.

The healing you ask for, a clean heart, the joy of salvation restored, does not grow on a single distant tree that you must search for with bleeding feet. In the paradise of His presence, the Tree of Life lines both sides of the river, as abundant and near as the next promise your lips can whisper. Its leaves are for you, right now. You do not need to climb some height or untangle every knot of your inward story; you need only to sit still long enough for the Spirit to press the remedy into the wound. And that same quiet sitting may feel more difficult than any work you have ever done. But the Lord who said, "Come unto Me, and I will give you rest," has not withdrawn the invitation. He who was rejected times without number still stands with arms stretched wide, as if He were rooted to the spot by sheer love, and He says again, "Come." Not chastising you for weariness, not scolding you for backward glances, but drawing you with cords of kindness until your heart forgets its own language and learns His.

The former things are in His hands, the prodigal, the prayers wept into a pillow, the seeds sown on what seemed like pavement. He has not lost a single genuine prayer, nor will the harvest mock the sower. But now He is calling you to turn and see the field already white before you, the open door that no one can shut, the pressing needs of those He has placed under your shelter. The strength for that will not come from straining harder. It will come the way the first breath of new life came: by the hearing of faith. The Spirit, the choicest gift the Father bestows, was given to you through no laborious law-work but through simple, soul-humbling trust. And He who gave the Spirit will certainly supply everything else.

Do not fret over the ordering of your own steps. Your business is to keep your ear open to the Shepherd’s voice and your feet shod with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. He will set things in order; He will finish what He has begun. The ship is in deep water, but the Captain is awake.

Lord Jesus, Faithful Shepherd, who called this poor soul out of the quarry where she was hewn, quiet her heart now with the tone of Your own voice. Overrule every backward-turning sorrow so that it may be a goad to prayer and not a fetter to obedience. Let the new thing spring up and she not perceive it not, but greet it with the joy of one who has seen the first crocus after a long frost. And grant her the tender mercy of helping others along the same road, until the day when all the flock is folded and every tear wiped away. In Your strong and gentle name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
