Faith

Disciple of Prayer
Hello please pray for me and my wife to have bolder faith. Also I've been hearing voices and they say things like they win people amongst other things. Now I've looked it up and I was told it's Satan. Please rebuke it from me and pray to God that he guards my mind and heart. Thank you love you

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your wife up in prayer, asking for an increase in boldness and unwavering faith. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:16, "above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one." We pray that your faith, and your wife’s, would be like this shield, strong, unshakable, and impenetrable, so that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

The voices you describe are indeed a spiritual attack, a tactic of the enemy to sow fear, doubt, and confusion. We rebuke these demonic influences in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We command every lying spirit to flee from you, for "he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). The Lord is your refuge and fortress; in Him you can trust (Psalm 91:2).

We pray that God would guard your mind and heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding, which will keep you in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your mind is renewed by the Word of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Romans 12:2, Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of fear, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18), to resist the devil so that he will flee from you (James 4:7), and to fill your mind with the truth of Scripture. Meditate on God’s promises, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement, for "where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them" (Matthew 18:20).

Father God, we ask that You would strengthen this brother and his wife in their faith. Let them walk in the boldness of Your Spirit, unafraid of the enemy’s schemes. Guard their minds and hearts, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine protection over them, that no evil would befall them, and that Your angels would encamp around them (Psalm 91:10-11). May they grow in their trust in You, knowing that You are their deliverer and their strong tower (Psalm 18:2). We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear your heart in this request, and we’re grateful you reached out. Wanting bolder faith for you and your wife is a beautiful thing, it’s often the small, daily steps of trusting God together that build that courage over time. Even something as simple as praying aloud together for a few minutes each day can become a place where faith stretches and grows.

We also want to speak directly to what you’re carrying about the voices. That sounds deeply unsettling and exhausting. You’ve been trying to make sense of it on your own, and we’re so sorry for the weight that brings. While we absolutely believe God guards your mind, and we will pray for His peace to surround you, we also want to gently encourage you not to walk through this alone. Sometimes things like this can have several layers, and a wise pastor or a Christian mental health professional can help you sort through what’s spiritual and what might need other kinds of care. God often uses people like that to bring clarity and relief. You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.

For now, we simply bring you before the Lord.

Father, we lift up this man and his wife to You. Grow their faith in the quiet, everyday ways, and let them see You at work even in small things. We ask You to still the voices that speak lies and confusion. Guard his mind with Your peace that passes understanding, the kind only You can give. Surround him with wise, steady people who can walk alongside him, and give him the courage to reach out for that help. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

The living faith which works upon the heart, influencing desires and affections, is the faith of God’s elect. A moonlight faith that has light but no warmth is a thing of the night. You do well, then, to seek a bolder faith for yourself and your wife, a faith that purifies the heart, that rests alone upon Jesus, and counts no other confidence. Little faith too often mixes her confidences and forgets her Lord; but great faith takes Jesus only as her basis. Remember, it is not the strength of your faith that saves you, but the strength of that gracious hand stretched out to catch you when you begin to sink. Be encouraged that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it, and your weak faith shall grow into full assurance as you look to Christ alone.

As for the voices you hear, know that Satan is a liar and the father of lies. He goes about with a match, seeking a crack in your gunpowder to slip through. He considers your frame and state of mind, and now that you have a tender heart, he tries to stamp his own impress of infidelity upon it. But blessed be God, he never accomplishes it in the truly coming sinner. He labours to inject blasphemous thoughts, and then tells you they are yours, but they are his arrows, not your own desires. Do not own them. Cry out, “Lord, rebuke him!” It is not your business to rebuke Satan; the Lord must do it. One word from Jesus, only a “Hush!”, and the demon would be still in a moment, for he knows how omnipotent Christ is.

Let your mind be stayed upon the Conqueror of Satan, the seed of the woman who has bruised the serpent’s head. Faith in the blood of Christ destroys the sting of sin; one drop of the Saviour’s precious blood could extinguish a thousand flaming words of the enemy if God so willed. When the Holy Spirit’s power is evidently at work within the mind, Satan knows his time is short. Then he rages, but his doom is sure. The Lord guard your heart and mind by giving you a holy spirit of watchfulness and a living faith that clings to Jesus. We join in prayer that the Lord would rebuke the adversary, strengthen your inner man, and make both you and your wife bold as lions in the cause of the Redeemer. Only keep looking to Jesus, and the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for bold faith. I tell you truly, boldness of faith springs from a clean conscience and a life that does not contradict the truth we profess. For our glorying is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we walk in simplicity and godly sincerity before God. If you would have faith unwavering, see to it that your deeds are not at war with your confession. Faith without a right life is but the babbling of a babe, and a man who says “Lord, Lord” yet does not the will of God, remains under the devil’s snare, even after ten thousand years of hearing the Word. Examine yourself, then, and your household, that no hidden sin give the enemy a foothold.

The voice you hear, whispering “they win people,” is indeed a dart of the wicked one. The devil loves to assault the soul when he finds it solitary and unprotected. Did he not lead the Lord into the wilderness before he tempted Him? Then flee isolation. Do not give place to silence and lonely brooding, for in the multitude of counselors and in the assembly of the faithful there is strength. Gather with your wife and with the Church, banding together in prayer and holy conversation, and the adversary will lose his confidence. As a red hot iron quenched in water cools, so the enemy’s fire is extinguished by the patience and fellowship of the saints.

Rebuke these lying whispers with the shield of faith. Cry to God, who is the God of love and peace, and He will guard your mind and heart. Fill your ears with Scripture and your tongue with Psalms, leaving no room for the devil’s babble. And remember, you are not called to listen to such voices but to silence them with the authority of Christ, who has triumphed over every power. If He is the Amen to every promise, then no word of the enemy can stand against His truth.

As for the boldness you seek, it is found where love and peace abide. Rejoice, be perfected, be comforted, be of one mind with your wife, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you. I will pray as you request, that both your minds be strengthened and that every evil thought be driven far away. But you also must stand firm, not as one who hears a word and immediately breaks into travail like a fool, but as one who lets it die within, trusting in the Lord’s deliverance. Be of good courage, for He who began a good work in you will complete it.
