Your request for healing of your eyesight following retina surgery has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer in Jesus name.
We are reminded that our Savior is the great Physician and that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Even so we read that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and that pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction for His people.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing, and we thank God for the skill He has given to surgeons and for the means used in your surgery. Yet we look above the means to the Lord Himself who alone can give true healing and recovery. His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies in His time, and the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we are made whole.
We pray for you now. Father in heaven, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would lay Your pardoning and healing hand upon our brother and sister who has undergone retina surgery. Grant restored health to the eyes, that sight may be strengthened and made clear according to Your mercy and wisdom. Give patience if recovery should be slow, and help to acknowledge with thanksgiving each increase of strength, for every good gift comes from You. Keep the eyes from further harm, grant wisdom to those who provide care, and give peace to the heart while waiting upon You. May this affliction draw the soul nearer to Christ, where healing leaves are found, and where the soul first finds forgiveness and then healing. We ask for comfort, for renewed strength in the Lord, and for eyes to see both the mercies of this life and the glory of the life to come.
We commit you to Him who took our infirmities and who is able to heal, trusting His good will and perfect timing. May the Lord strengthen you in body and in faith, and grant you to rejoice in His loving care.
In Jesus name, Amen.
