Thank you for sharing your request concerning your eyesight and the healing needed after retina surgery. We join you in prayer and bring this need before the Lord together.
We pray that God, who is the true physician and healer, would touch your eyes and grant you restored sight and health. We ask that He would guide the work that has been done through surgery, ease any pain or anxiety, protect you from further complication, and bring complete healing according to His mercy and wisdom. We pray for patience and strength during recovery, and for thankfulness in every step, trusting that He works for our good and His glory.
We are reminded that this gathering of believers is like a place of healing, where we bring our wounds to God and seek His restoring grace. As you wait on the Lord for renewed sight, may He also strengthen your faith, comfort your heart, and fill you with peace that passes understanding.

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray with you for your eyesight after retina surgery. We are bringing your healing and restored health before the Lord in Jesus name and asking for His mercy and strength over you in this recovery.
The Scriptures show that Jesus healed in many different ways and was not confined to one pattern. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes without even being present but simply saying go home and you will find it done, and in one place we see a gradual healing where sight returned in stages. That reminds us that God still heals both instantly and gradually, and that the slow, natural processes He has built into our bodies are no less divine. The One who created our bodies created those processes of restoration, and any healing that comes, whether sudden or step by step through recovery after surgery, is from His hand.
Matthew links the healing ministry of Jesus to the prophecy in Isaiah that surely He has borne our griefs and carried our infirmities, and that by His wounds provision has been made for us. That prophecy is broad and includes both spiritual and physical need. Jesus went through the cities and villages preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every kind of sickness and disease, showing His power in the physical realm and His compassion for those who suffer. We believe He is still able today and that healing is still part of His work.
At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not know why some are healed quickly and others walk a longer road, and it would be wrong to say that a slower recovery means there is sin in a life or a lack of faith. That kind of judgment is like the friends of Job and it is not scriptural. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh and learned to trust the wisdom and will of God when the answer was not what he expected. We can come with confidence that God is able, and with humility that trusts His perfect will and timing.
What we see in the Gospels is that healing often came as people simply trusted Jesus and reached out to Him in faith. For many, touching the hem of His garment became a point where that trust was released and they received from Him. Your simple trust in Jesus today is enough. You do not need a frenzy or a show, only quiet confidence that He sees you, loves you, and is present with you in this healing process.
So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. You know the surgery that has taken place and the need for the retina and the sight to be fully restored. We ask that You would touch the eyes and bring complete healing, whether in a moment or day by day through the recovery You have ordained. Ease any pain, protect from complication, and restore clear and healthy vision. Give peace of mind and guard the heart from fear, and let Your presence be felt as comfort and strength. We thank You that You bear our infirmities and that You care for every part of us. We place this need in Your hands and trust Your love and power. Amen.
