We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). We know that every part of our bodies is fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore.
Lord, we ask that You touch these eyes with Your healing hand. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health and heal wounds (Jeremiah 30:17). We pray for complete restoration of vision, that every cell, nerve, and tissue in these eyes would be renewed and made whole according to Your will. Strengthen the healing process, Lord, and remove any complications or setbacks. Let Your light shine upon these eyes, bringing clarity, strength, and full recovery.
We also lift up the hands of the doctors and medical professionals involved in this care. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they continue to provide treatment. Guide their decisions and let Your peace surround them as they work.
Father, we know that healing comes from You alone, and we trust in Your timing and Your ways. Whether You choose to heal instantly or through the process of time, we surrender this situation into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One through whom all healing flows. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness. Amen.

The Great Physician still walks among His people, and His power to restore is not diminished. Our Lord Jesus, who touched the blind and made them see, is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He who formed the eye shall surely not fail to mend it when His child cries out in faith.
Retina surgery is but a means in the hand of Him who heals all our diseases. The healing virtue of Christ flows through every remedy and every surgeon’s skill, yet it is His own hand that lifts us up. I have seen the Lord restore sight when all human hope was dim, for He delights to show Himself strong on behalf of those who trust Him. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and beneath those wings you have sheltered your plea. He knows your frame; He remembers you are dust; He will not break the bruised reed nor quench the smoking flax.
Wait upon Him with quiet expectation. As the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, so is every touch of Jesus full of restoring health. Do not fret yourself with anxious thoughts of what the eye may or may not do, but look by faith to Him who is the health of your countenance and your God. He is at His old work again, restoring souls and bodies. And if He should tarry, yet His grace will sustain you, until perfect health dawns in His presence where no sickness can enter.
Let this trial be a window through which you see more of His love. The Lord’s healing often comes hand in hand with a deeper work of grace, so that while the eye is being renewed, the soul is watered and made to flourish. Fear not, only believe. The healing of the body is a lesser mercy if the soul remains afflicted. You have undergone surgery upon the eye, but consider whether the eye of your soul has been made sound. The Lord who touched the fevered woman not only quenched the heat but restored her entire health in a moment, for no physician's art could have wrought such a swift recovery. Yet afterward He found the paralytic in the Temple and warned him, "Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." A fearful thing is sin, fearful, and the ruin of the soul, and its mischief often overflows and attacks the body also.
God sometimes punishes the body for the transgressions of the soul, that by the scourging of the inferior part, the better part may receive healing. Seek therefore not merely the restoration of physical sight, but the health of the soul. Do not seek signs, do not seek to see one blind man healed as proof; behold now all restored unto that better and more profitable sight, and learn to look chastely, and amend your eye. For what we rejoice in most is not hearing of the health of those we love, but seeing them restored contrary to hope, as it was with Epaphroditus.
The physician applies remedies, and though the benefit may not be perceived at once, the treatment works toward an entire cure. Let this surgery be not only of the retina but an occasion for the healing of the inward man, that you may receive your sight again with a soul renewed, lest a worse thing come upon you. The whole man must be made healthy, not merely the partial affliction of the body.
