We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious request for healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You know every detail of this situation, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore what has been damaged.
Lord, we ask that You would touch these eyes with Your healing hand. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We claim this promise over this situation, believing that You are able to bring complete restoration. We pray against any complications, inflammation, or lingering effects from the surgery. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind as they wait on You (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up the hands of the medical professionals involved. Give them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they provide care. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. We surrender this situation fully into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in during this time. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this healing is already underway because Your Word says in Psalm 107:20, *"He sends his word, and heals them, and delivers them from their graves."* We stand on this truth, believing that complete restoration is coming.
We also pray for spiritual eyes to be opened. May this trial draw this dear one closer to You, Lord. Help them to see Your faithfulness, Your love, and Your provision in new and deeper ways. Open their eyes to the wonders of Your law (Psalm 119:18) and to the hope that is found in You alone.
Thank You, Jesus, for interceding on our behalf and for being the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It is only through Your name that we have access to the Father, and we come boldly before Your throne of grace to find mercy and help in this time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We trust in You, Lord, and we wait expectantly for Your healing touch.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
