We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother or sister who has undergone retina surgery and is seeking healing and restoration of their eyesight. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You see every detail of this situation, and we ask that You would touch these eyes with Your healing hand. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that nothing is too difficult for You (Jeremiah 32:17).
We pray for complete restoration, Lord. May the surgery be successful, and may any inflammation, scarring, or complications be removed in Jesus’ name. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or hindrance that would seek to steal, kill, or destroy this precious gift of sight (John 10:10). Father, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and medical professionals involved, giving them wisdom and clarity as they care for this beloved child of Yours.
We also pray for peace and patience during this time of recovery. It can be difficult to wait on the Lord, but we know that those who wait on You will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Help this dear one to trust in You completely, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May they find comfort in Your presence and rest in the assurance that You are their Healer.
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to Your throne of grace, and we boldly ask for this healing in His mighty name. May this testimony of Your faithfulness bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You.
We also encourage this dear one to spend time in Your Word, for Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Even in this season of limited sight, may they see You more clearly and be reminded of Your love and faithfulness. We declare that their eyes will be opened to see Your goodness and that their physical eyesight will be fully restored for Your glory.
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
