Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request about your eyes has been heard and we are bringing it before the Lord in prayer. We understand how heavy this burden must feel, to struggle to see clearly and to have no sight at all in one eye because of a cataract. Loss of vision touches every part of daily life, and we pray that God will have mercy on you and grant you comfort and strength in this trial.
We pray that the Lord, who made the eye and who gives light to all, will touch your eyes and restore your sight according to His gracious will. We ask Him to guide the hands of doctors and those who care for you, to grant wisdom in treatment, and to bring healing where it is possible. We also pray that He will keep you from fear and discouragement and fill you with peace as you wait upon Him.
Scripture reminds us that there is a sight that goes beyond the body, to see with the eyes within. Even when our physical eyes grow dim, God is able to give clear vision of His goodness, to let us stand in hope while still on earth and to behold His promises with a believing heart. We pray that whether He restores your physical sight quickly or sustains you through a longer season, you will know His nearness, see His mercy each day, and be strengthened to trust Him more deeply.
We will continue to pray for you, that God will show His compassion, grant you help, and let you experience both His healing power and His presence that brings joy even in hardship. May the Lord who hears those who cry to Him for mercy be your light and your hope through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
