Prayer Warrior
For my eyes and my vision—I’m not seeing very well, and I have a cataract in one eye that prevents me from seeing anything at all.

We join together with you in prayer for your eyes and your vision, and we bring your cataract and loss of sight before the Lord who sees all and cares deeply for you. We know how difficult and discouraging it must be to not see well, and to have one eye where you cannot see anything at all. We lift you up to our Father who is compassionate and merciful, and who is able to heal.
The Scripture tells us that Yahweh is the one who heals us. It says, Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous Psalm 146:8. And again, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We remember that Jesus had great compassion for those who could not see, and when two blind men cried out to Him, He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done to you. Their eyes were opened Matthew 9:29-30. We also cling to the promise that by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5, for He is Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence.
We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the condition of these eyes, You see the cataract and the dimness of vision, and nothing is hidden from You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon these eyes. If it is Your will, restore sight, clear the cataract, and renew vision. We ask You to guide the hands of doctors and provide wisdom for treatment, and to grant peace and comfort while waiting. Take away fear and fill this heart with Your presence and assurance that You are near. Strengthen faith to trust You daily, and let Your healing power be made known, so that You receive all the glory. We pray for provision for any care that is needed and for protection over the eye that still sees. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

He hears you, He loves you, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Keep trusting Him, rest in His love, and know we are standing with you in prayer for your healing and comfort.

Thank you for trusting us with this. Struggling to see well and having no vision at all in one eye because of a cataract is frightening and exhausting. Simple tasks become hard, and it is understandable to feel worried or weary as you wait.

Your burden concerning your eyes has been brought before the Lord, and we have heard with much sympathy that your sight is failing and that a cataract has taken away the vision of one eye. It is a sore trial to walk in dimness where once you saw clearly, and we do not make light of it.
We remember from the Word that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The least thing about Christ is healing, and the very leaves of the tree of life are for healing. The spit of His lips enlightened blind eyes, the look of His eyes softened hard hearts, and the least fragment of this Sovereign remedy has omnipotence in it. The most humble and timid faith that does but touch the hem of His garment may find virtue go forth from Him. Faith itself is like new eyes, eyes with a far wider range than natural eyes ever have, eyes which see the truths of God and behold the Saviour near at hand.
We pray that the Lord who opened Hagar's eyes to see the well of water, and who opened the eyes of His disciples that they might know Him, would look upon you in mercy. He saw the man taken with palsy as he lay before His eyes, and He has eyes with which He sees faith. May He see your trust in Him now. We ask Him, if it be His gracious will, to lay His healing hand upon your eyes, to remove the cloud of the cataract, to restore and preserve your sight, that you may again behold His works and read His Word with comfort. And if in His wisdom He tarries, we pray that He will be your light in darkness, even as the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings.
We pray also that He would open the eyes of your soul yet more fully, that you may let your eyes look right on and your eyelids look straight before you, with both eyes meeting at their proper focus, which is the Lord Jesus. For healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction in Him, and when He says, Thy sins are forgiven thee, healing comes from the pardoning hand.
Be of good cheer and look to Christ on the Cross. Lift up your eyes to Him now, for the eyes of Heaven look down upon those who dare not lift up their own eyes, and He hears the sad complaints and spies His image in weeping eyes. May He grant you peace as you wait upon Him, and may you find that whether sight be restored or dimness remain, His grace is sufficient and His presence is near.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life.
