We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and his need for eye surgery. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You would touch his eye and bring complete healing, whether through the hands of skilled surgeons or through Your miraculous power. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that You will restore his sight and make a way for the finances needed for this surgery.
Lord, we also pray for provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that You will open doors for the resources needed. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We ask that You would move in the hearts of those who can help, whether through financial gifts, medical assistance, or other means. Let Your provision be evident, so that Your name may be glorified.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold in this situation. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that fear has no place here, and we choose to trust in Your perfect love and care.
Father, we also ask that You would give your brother peace and strength as he waits for this surgery. Help him to rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your plans for him are good. We pray that he would draw near to You in this time, seeking Your face and finding comfort in Your presence.
Lastly, we want to remind you both that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If your brother has not yet placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we encourage him to do so. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that he would come to know Jesus personally and experience the fullness of life that He offers.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your will. Amen.
