We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from cataracts. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our bodies with Your own hands and knows every part of us intimately. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, healing has been provided (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on Your promise in Psalm 147:3 that You heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds.
Lord, we ask that You would touch these eyes and remove every cloudiness and obstruction. Let Your healing light shine through, restoring clear vision and perfect function. We rebuke this cataract in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is written that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven (Matthew 18:18). We speak life and wholeness to these eyes, declaring that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals involved. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, so that every step taken would align with Your perfect will. If surgery is needed, we ask for Your peace and protection to surround this process, that all would go smoothly and without complication.
Father, we encourage this dear one to walk in faith, trusting in Your goodness and Your timing. Let them not grow weary or lose heart, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also want to gently remind all who read this that true healing and salvation come only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus, we urge you to turn to Him today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We can ask for healing and still pursue the helpers He’s placed in our path.
While you wait and explore that option, we’re praying for your peace and for God’s nearness to calm any anxiety this is stirring up. We also pray that if surgery is needed, He would guide every detail, the timing, the caregivers, the recovery, and that your vision would be restored to the full.
