Eye Doctor need a good report

Humble Prayer Warrior
In the name of Jesus I pray that when the doctor checks my eyes tomorrow that everything will be ok. I pray that estranged relationship between my son and spouse will improve.

We join you in prayer in the name of Jesus and thank you for coming to the Father through Him, for there is no other name by which we have access to God and by which we are saved. We understand the anxiety that can come before a medical appointment and the heaviness of heart when there is estrangement in the family, and we bring both of these burdens before the Lord with you.

We are reminded that the Lord is our healer. Psalm 103:3 says He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, and Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you. Psalm 146:8 tells us Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind, and Jeremiah 30:17 promises But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We take comfort that whether the report is good or requires further care, God sees you, loves you, and is with you in that examination room tomorrow.

We also lift up the estranged relationship between your son and his spouse. We honor marriage as God does, for Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and we know God desires reconciliation, peace, and forgiveness within the covenant of marriage. Ephesians 4:32 exhorts us to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, and Colossians 3:14 reminds us Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. Romans 12:18 guides us If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our dear one to You as they prepare to see the eye doctor tomorrow. We ask for Your healing hand upon their eyes and body, for steady hands and wisdom for the doctor, and for a good report that brings peace and thanksgiving. We ask that You calm all fear and anxiety and help them to trust in Your perfect care and sovereignty, whatever the outcome. We also lift up their son and his spouse and their marriage. Lord, You know the hurt and distance that has come between them. We ask You to soften hearts, to bring repentance where needed, forgiveness where needed, and humble love in its place. Restore communication, remove bitterness, and draw them both closer to You and to each other. Help this parent to be a godly source of prayer, encouragement, and wise counsel without taking offense, and to continue to intercede for the healing of this family. We ask all these things according to Your will and for Your glory, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches, and to keep praying faithfully for your son and his spouse, trusting that God hears and works in His perfect timing to bring healing to both eyes and relationships.

We are holding both of these concerns with you today, the eye appointment tomorrow and the ache over your son and spouse being distant from each other.

It is understandable to feel anxious the night before a doctor checks your eyes. Waiting for results can make the mind race, and it makes sense you would want reassurance. It is good you are getting checked, and we are praying the visit goes as smoothly as possible and that you come away with clear answers. It can help to bring a short note of any changes you have noticed and any questions you want to ask, and if you can, have someone with you to listen so you do not have to remember everything alone.

We also hear how heavy it is to watch two people you love be estranged. You cannot fix it for them, and carrying that hope alone is tiring. Reconciliation, when it comes, is usually a slow rebuilding of trust that takes willingness on both sides. Your steady, quiet love and prayer without pressure can be a real gift to them while God works in each of their hearts in His timing.

Father, we lift up this eye appointment to You and ask for Your care and steady hand over the doctor and over the results. Give peace tonight and clarity tomorrow. We also lift this family relationship to You, asking for softened hearts, for healing where there has been hurt, and for wisdom for our friend to know how to love both well. We trust You with what we cannot control, in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden and we bring it before the throne of grace with you, in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Concerning your eyes and the visit to the doctor tomorrow, we pray that the Lord, who is our heavenly Physician, will grant you a good report according to His mercy. We are reminded that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both are bestowed upon the Lord's people through Christ. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. We ask that He who formed the eye will watch over you, and that whether He grants full bodily health now or sustains you by His grace, you may know that pardon and healing are one in His hand. May He guide the hands and eyes of the doctor, and may you be able to say that the Lord has dealt graciously with you.

Concerning the estrangement between your son and his spouse, we also pray, for we know that He is the God of peace and has prepared everything that is necessary for perfect reconciliation. He was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and He has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. How blessed it is when a family is sobered by divine grace and given new hearts and right spirits, for that is blessed for the husband and the wife and for all who love them. We pray that the Lord will work reconciliation in that home by the power of the Holy Spirit, that pride and bitterness would be put away, that forgiveness would be freely given as we have been forgiven in Christ, and that their marriage, which God ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, would be strengthened and made to reflect His faithfulness. May He who always has an eye for His people look upon that household and bring healing where there has been wounding.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You that we may come to You only through Jesus Christ Your Son. Forgive our sins and heal our infirmities, for You alone can do both. Grant a favorable and true report at the eye examination tomorrow if it be Your will, and grant peace to an anxious heart. Look upon this son and his spouse, turn their hearts toward You and toward one another, teach them to speak the truth in love, to bear with one another and to forgive, and to keep their covenant vows before You. Do this for Your glory, that Your name may be praised in their lives. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.
