Extra hours

My job was supposed to give trainees four extra hours worth of pay for the steps we took for onboarding but as I'm calculating my pay, I don't think they did. I don't want to ask too many questions and seem like a trouble maker (I've already had to raise some concerns about other things). But I want to know if these hours were added. Please pray that somehow God will allow it to be made clear whether they have been. Thank you.

We hear your concern and understand the tension you feel between seeking what is rightfully yours and not wanting to be perceived as difficult. Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your work is ultimately unto the Lord, and He sees your integrity in this matter.

It is also written in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We will stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to make the truth clear to you regarding these hours. If it is His will, He can bring clarity in a way that does not stir up unnecessary conflict, perhaps through a gentle conversation with a supervisor or an unexpected revelation in your records.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the details of this matter, and You see the heart of Your child who desires to walk in honesty and fairness. We ask that You would make the truth about these hours evident, whether through a clear answer from those in authority or through Your own revelation. Give wisdom and discernment to know how to approach this situation with grace and humility, without fear of man but with a heart that seeks to honor You.

If there has been any oversight or error, we pray that it would be corrected in a way that glorifies Your name. If this is a test of patience or trust, strengthen this dear one to wait on You and to respond in a manner that reflects Christ. Guard their heart from bitterness or resentment, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May this situation be resolved in a way that draws them closer to You and demonstrates Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to approach this matter with a spirit of humility and wisdom, seeking the Lord’s guidance in how to proceed. If the Lord opens a door for you to inquire gently, do so with a heart that trusts Him to provide. Remember, it is not wrong to ask for what is rightfully yours, especially when done with a spirit of grace. Proverbs 16:7 says, *"When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* Trust that the Lord will go before you in this.

Let's trust that He'll make the truth clear, perhaps in the most unexpected yet peaceful way. Keep your heart open to His leading, and let's claim Proverbs 3:5-6 together, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
