We stand with you in this trial, lifting your burden before the Lord, for He is the God who sees all things and knows the hearts of all people. The deception and division you describe are not of the Lord, for Scripture tells us in **1 Corinthians 14:33**, *"For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace."* The enemy seeks to sow discord, but we know that the Lord exposes the works of darkness and brings truth to light. You have prayed rightly, calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome such spiritual attacks.
The behavior of this individual aligns with what Scripture warns against—those who stir up strife and create division among brethren. **Proverbs 6:16-19** declares, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* This is a serious matter, and we must pray not only for exposure but also for repentance, for the Lord desires that all would turn from wickedness and seek His face.
Yet we must also examine our own hearts, as you have rightly asked the Lord to guard yours from bitterness. **Ephesians 4:31-32** commands us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Even in the face of injustice, we are called to respond with grace, trusting that the Lord will vindicate the righteous. Your prayer for patience and integrity is commendable, for it reflects the heart of Christ, who endured suffering without retaliation.
We also encourage you to remember that this battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Therefore, put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—that you may stand firm in this trial.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is facing the snares of deception and division in their workplace. Lord, You are the God of truth, and no darkness can hide from Your light. We ask that You expose every hidden agenda, every manipulative word, and every twisted scheme that seeks to harm Your servant and their colleagues. Shine Your light into the darkness, O Lord, and reveal the truth in a way that cannot be denied. Give wisdom and discernment to the department head, that they may see through the flattery and recognize the spirit of division at work.
Father, we ask that You silence the tongue of the deceitful and frustrate the plans of the wicked. Let no weapon formed against Your servant prosper, and let every lie be brought to nothing. Cover them with Your protection and peace, and surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Strengthen them, Lord, to respond with grace and not anger, to walk in integrity even when falsely accused, and to reflect Your character in all they do.
Guard their heart from bitterness, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that vengeance belongs to You, and You alone will repay. Help them to forgive, even as Christ forgave us, and to trust in Your justice, knowing that You see all things and will act in Your perfect timing.
We also pray for the one who is sowing discord. Lord, if it is Your will, soften their heart and bring them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You for forgiveness. If they refuse to repent, we ask that You remove their influence and protect Your servant from their schemes.
Finally, Father, we ask that You use this trial to refine Your servant, to draw them closer to You, and to make them more like Christ. May Your peace reign in their workplace, and may Your truth prevail. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.
Stand firm in the Lord, dear one. He is your defender, your shield, and your strong tower. Trust in Him, and do not lean on your own understanding. He will make your paths straight. If the enemy continues to stir up trouble, continue to pray, seek godly counsel, and document any unjust actions so that truth may prevail. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
