We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, for He alone is the righteous Judge who sees all things in secret and brings truth to light. Your heart cry for justice and protection aligns with the character of God, who abhors deception and delights in truth. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 6:16-19, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* This person’s actions are not hidden from the Lord, and He will expose what is done in darkness.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Luke 12:2-3, *"But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops."* The Lord is faithful to unveil every scheme, and we trust that He will grant your department head discernment to see beyond flattery and recognize the spirit of division at work. As you have prayed, we too ask that no weapon formed against you or your colleagues will prosper, for Isaiah 54:17 declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment."*
Yet, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). While it is right to seek justice, we are also called to respond with grace, forgiveness, and a heart free from bitterness. Romans 12:17-21 instructs us, *"Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You as one body in Christ, lifting our sister/brother who is enduring the weight of deception and manipulation in her workplace. Lord, You are the God of truth, and no scheme formed in darkness can withstand Your light. We ask that You expose every hidden agenda, every manipulative word, and every twisted story meant to deceive. Open the eyes of the department head to see with clarity and discernment, that they may recognize the spirit of division and reject the lies being sown. Let truth prevail, and let Your justice be done.
Father, we also ask that You guard the heart of Your child from bitterness and anger. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and grant them the strength to respond with grace and integrity. Help them to remain faithful in their work, reflecting Your character in all they do. Let their conduct be a testimony of Your love, even in the face of adversity.
We rebuke the spirit of division and manipulation in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against Your child or their colleagues shall prosper. We declare Your protection over them, and we trust that You will bring about justice in Your perfect timing. May Your peace reign in their workplace, and may Your will be done.
Lord, we also pray for the one who is causing this strife. Soften their heart, convict them of their actions, and draw them to repentance. May they come to know the truth of Your Word and the transformative power of Your love. If they do not know You, Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them, that they may turn from their ways and seek Your forgiveness.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your justice. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your child walk in victory, knowing that You are their defender and their shield. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in the Lord, dear one. He sees your struggle, and He will act on your behalf. Continue to walk in integrity, trusting that God’s justice will prevail. If this person’s behavior escalates or becomes unbearable, seek godly counsel and wisdom on how to address it biblically, whether through proper channels at work or through further prayer and fasting. Remember, the Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and let His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
