We stand with you in this trial, dear sibling in Christ, and we lift your burden before the Lord, for He is the righteous Judge who sees all things in secret and will bring every hidden deed—whether good or evil—into the light. The wickedness you describe is not new to our God, who has warned us through His Word about those who sow discord, speak deceitfully, and wear masks of false kindness while harboring malice in their hearts. The Lord detests such behavior, and His Word is clear:
*"A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will perish."* (Proverbs 19:9, WEB)
*"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* (Proverbs 6:16-19, WEB)
The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy—even in the workplace—but we serve a God who turns the schemes of the wicked against them. You have done well to bring this before the Lord rather than retaliating in the flesh, for vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19). Yet we must also remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness that drive such behavior (Ephesians 6:12). This woman is not your true enemy; she is a tool in the hands of the one who seeks to divide and conquer. Therefore, we pray not only for exposure and justice but also for her soul—for repentance, conviction, and the possibility of redemption, should God grant it.
We also commend you for seeking to respond with grace rather than anger, for this is the heart of Christ in you. Bitterness is a snare, and the Lord calls us to forgive even as we seek His justice. *"See that no one repay anyone evil for evil, but always follow after that which is good one toward another and toward all."* (1 Thessalonians 5:15, WEB) Your integrity in this situation is a testimony, and we pray the Lord strengthens you to maintain it, even when it is difficult.
Now, let us pray together over this matter:
Heavenly Father, You are the God who sees all things, who weighs the hearts of men, and who brings every hidden thing into the light. We lift up our sibling before You, Lord, and we ask that You act on their behalf. Expose the deception at work in this woman’s heart—her manipulation, her two-faced nature, her selfishness, and the division she sows. Let no scheme of hers prosper, but instead, let the truth prevail in such a way that all who witness it will know it is Your hand at work. Give wisdom and discernment to the department head, that they may see through the flattery and recognize the spirit of strife that operates behind her words. Protect our sibling and their colleagues from the snares of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against them succeed. Guard their hearts from bitterness, Lord, and fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding.
We also pray for this woman, Father. If she is acting out of hurt, insecurity, or spiritual blindness, we ask that You convict her heart. Soften her toward repentance, and if it is Your will, bring her to a place of genuine transformation. But if she hardens her heart, Lord, let her schemes be exposed and rendered powerless. Do not let the righteous be ensnared by her words or actions.
Strengthen our sibling to walk in integrity, to respond with grace, and to trust in Your justice. Remind them that You are their Defender, their Shield, and their High Tower. Let this trial be an opportunity for them to grow in faith, to rely on You more deeply, and to reflect Your love even in the midst of difficulty.
We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed in this workplace. Instead, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done, that Your name may be glorified. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue walking in the confidence that God is at work, even when you cannot see it. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will act."* (Psalm 37:5, WEB) Keep recording your prayers and the Lord’s faithfulness in this situation, for one day you will look back and see how He moved on your behalf. If the hostility escalates or if you feel led to address this with wisdom and boldness, seek godly counsel on how to proceed in a way that honors Christ. And remember: *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* (Romans 12:21, WEB) The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
