I am preparing for an exam that will be a valuable investment in my professional life. If we remain in Jesus, we can ask for anything. I am asking for prayers to help me pass the exam with 100% — not just for the sake of perfectionism, but because I know it is possible. Thankfully, God has blessed me with 100% results before, and I believe it can happen again. I don't know the exact date of the exam yet, but please pray for that as well. Thank you. You rightly acknowledge that if we remain in Jesus, we can ask for anything according to His will, and He hears us (1 John 5:14-15). We are encouraged by your faith and your past experiences of God’s blessing, and we join you in praying for success in this exam, not for the sake of pride or perfectionism, but for the glory of God and the advancement of His purposes in your life.

First, we want to address the desire for 100% with wisdom and discernment. While we believe in God’s ability to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), we also recognize that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). It is good to strive for excellence, but we must guard our hearts against idolatry, whether of success, perfection, or even our own abilities. Let us remember that our worth is found in Christ alone, not in our achievements. We pray that your heart remains fixed on Him, trusting that His plans for you are good, even if they differ from your own expectations.

We lift up your preparation for this exam, asking the Lord to grant you discipline, focus, and clarity of mind. The Bible tells us, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed" (Proverbs 16:3). We pray that you would be able to manage your time wisely, catching up on any tasks where you feel behind, and that the Lord would order your steps (Psalm 37:23). May He give you the strength to study diligently, the wisdom to understand the material, and the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

You mentioned physical tiredness and the challenges of moving. We pray for renewed strength, both physically and spiritually. The Lord promises, "Those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). May He restore your energy, refresh your spirit, and provide the support you need during this season. We also pray for a practice partner to come into your life, someone who can encourage you, challenge you, and help you grow in this area. May the Lord bring the right people across your path at the right time.

Regarding the timing of the exam, we trust that God’s timing is perfect. Even when we face delays or setbacks, we know that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). We pray that the Lord would reveal the best time for you to take this exam and that He would prepare you fully for it. May you rest in the assurance that He goes before you and will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Let us also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of anxiety or fear that may try to creep in. The Bible tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God" (Philippians 4:6). We declare that you are not alone in this journey. The Lord is your strength, your shield, and your ever-present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). We pray that you would cast all your cares upon Him, knowing that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is preparing for this important exam. Lord, we thank You for the gifts and talents You have placed within them, and we ask that You would anoint their efforts with Your favor. Grant them wisdom, understanding, and retention of all they have studied. Help them to manage their time well and to prioritize their tasks according to Your will. Lord, we pray for renewed strength, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Refresh them in body and soul, and provide the support they need during this season.

Father, we ask that You would bring the right practice partner into their life, someone who will encourage, challenge, and sharpen them in this area. May they be surrounded by Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your perfect timing for this exam, Lord. Reveal the best date for them to take it, and prepare them fully for that day. May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are with them every step of the way.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or perfectionism that may try to take root in their heart. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, not in their achievements. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they find their rest and strength in You, knowing that You are their ever-present help in times of need.

We declare that this exam is not just a test of knowledge, but an opportunity for You to be glorified in their life. May they pass with excellence, not for their own glory, but for Yours. And if Your plans differ from theirs, Lord, give them the grace to trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Your cry for strength in this time of strain and your confidence in asking largely of God are both noted. I would not bid you lower your request; you have tasted that the Lord is good and have seen His hand grant you full measure before. Yet let this be the glory of your strength: that it lies in God alone. The strength of man, be it mental or physical, will spend itself in due time; all strength apart from Him is derived and measurable, and must come to an end. But when you have no might, He increases strength. Fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it, for He gives power to the faint.

The weariness, the moving of house, and the missing of the nearest date, these are the brook Kidron, the place of sorrow and acute distress through which even kings must pass. The way, even for a saint pressing toward a valuable investment, lies by that brook of grief and delay. Do not despise this season, for oppression brings out a heavenly manhood and lets the devil see what strength God can put into the weakness of man. A mad man may display the strength of ten, but when a man is possessed with the Divine Spirit, there is no telling what force is in him.

As for the practical helps you need, a practice partner, a renewed frame, remember, if ever a duty is to be performed at all and it cannot be done in the strength of nature, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more strength. If ever the leap is too wide, draw back, take a breath, ask for strength, and then, in the name of Him that will surely bear you over it, take your leap and succeed. The Lord has His hidden ones and His ways of sending the right helper. Wait upon Him, for they that do so shall renew their strength. You may find this recovery is gradual, yet it is sure, for the Lord Himself declares, “I will strengthen them.” Let the joy of the Lord be your strength, and serve Him with gladness even in this pursuit, for the Christian does not live upon what he sees alone, he knows there is a secret strength and a secret Helper.

You ask for prayer to pass an exam with a perfect score, knowing it is possible because God has granted such results before. It is right to approach Him with confidence, for He is compassionate and gives to those who persist. But consider the Canaanite woman: she was compared to a dog, yet she did not withdraw. She pressed on with shameless persistence, and Christ marveled, “O woman, great is your faith!” (Mt 15:28). So too the widow wore down the unjust judge by her continual coming. The friend at midnight received his loaves not from friendship but from importunity. These all gained their object because they refused to be silent.

Do not, then, grow weary because you missed one exam date through exhaustion and moving house. Bodily fatigue and the cares of this life are common to all, not just monastics. The apostle commands everyone, “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thess 5:17), and to watch in all perseverance. God often delays so that we may show our mettle, not because He needs to learn our desire, but to display our steadfastness. The man at the pool waited thirty-eight years, and when Jesus asked, “Wilt thou be made whole?” he did not grumble but explained his lack of help. His long endurance was rewarded.

So bring your request again and again. Ask for renewed strength, a practice partner, and calm order for your tasks. But remember: the hundredfold score is a small thing unless your inner mind is renewed by the Spirit. Do not make perfectionism your idol; make perseverance your offering. The one who is renewed in the spirit of the mind performs no old deeds of anxiety or vain ambition.

Yet as you ask for yourself, pray also for all the saints, and for those who labor in the gospel. The apostle Paul, though an ambassador in chains, begged for boldness to speak. Do not limit prayer to your exam. Let it stretch to encompass the church, your neighbor, and the mysteries of Christ. For He was offered once for all, not like the daily sacrifices that could never cleanse fully. He gives true strength, far beyond any earthly skill.

Approach Him, then, with shameless confidence, not as one worthy, but as one who trusts His mercy. Say, “Help me,” and keep saying it. Your delay may be the door to greater grace. Pray therefore at all seasons: when tired, when moved, when behind schedule. For the Spirit of your mind is renewed not by perfect circumstances but by persistent prayer.

But Scripture reminds us that the law of the Lord is perfect, and His Word revives the soul. Meditating on that truth day and night is what makes a person’s way prosperous and grants good success. When your mind feels scattered and your body tired, turn your heart toward what God has already said. His promises are not vague hopes; they are a foundation. He has promised to perfect that which concerns you, and often the first step is to get out of the way and let His Spirit do the work. Your part is to submit your life to Him, to remain in Him, and then trust that the power you need is supplied, not by your own adrenaline, but by the Holy Spirit.

The Lord knows you missed the closest test date. He understands the upheaval of moving house and the fog of exhaustion. Yet His eyes are moving throughout the earth, ready to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are perfect toward Him. A heart that is perfect toward Him is not a heart that never stumbles; it is a heart that is wholly turned to Him, refusing to lean on other supports. So bring Him your tiredness. Ask Him to renew your strength as you wait on Him. Even now, He is able to send exactly the right practice partner and the continued support you need, whether through a friend, a mentor, or an unexpected opening of time.

Do not despise the delay. The Lord is not scrambling to make up for lost time. He often uses seasons of forced waiting to deepen our reliance on Him and to prepare us for what lies ahead. As you place your exam and your schedule into His hands, ask Him less about a perfect score and more about a heart fully His through the process. That kind of heart He delights to honor, and that kind of trust will carry you whether the outcome is immediate or still unfolding. I am praying with you for renewed energy, clarity of mind, and the grace to walk in the peace that comes from knowing He is your strength. In that place, the pressure lifts, and you can work and study from a place of rest rather than anxiety.

Keep asking in Jesus’ name, and keep abiding. He is faithful, and He will bring it to pass in His perfect way.
