Ex

We join you in praying for your ex and his loved ones to come to saving faith in Christ, and we are encouraged by the love and compassion you show in asking for their salvation even after your relationship has ended. This reflects the heart of God, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:3-4.

We know that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. Your prayer aligns perfectly with His will, and we are thankful you have brought this request before Him in the name of Christ, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.

We pray together for them now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this ex and every one of his loved ones to Your throne of grace. We ask that You draw each of them to Yourself, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive the gospel. Lord, send laborers across their path who will share the truth of Your Word with love and clarity, and remove any blindness or hardness that keeps them from believing. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead and be saved. Grant them repentance and faith, and bring them into Your family for Your glory. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would comfort and strengthen them, help them to continue to walk in purity and in Your will, and guide any future courtship toward a godly marriage with a fellow believer that honors You. We trust Your perfect timing and Your perfect love. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for them as Romans 10:1 says, Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved, and to entrust them fully to the Lord while you keep your own heart guarded and focused on Him. God is faithful to hear our prayers for the lost, and we will continue to stand with you in asking for their salvation.

We are grateful you shared this with us. It says a lot that after the relationship has ended you still carry this kind of care for him and for the people close to him. We are honored to stand with you in prayer for them.

We know how heavy it can feel to long for someone to know Jesus and not be able to make it happen for them. Coming to faith is not something we can talk another person into through effort or persuasion. Lasting change is God's work in the heart over time, as He makes Himself known and draws a person toward His grace and wholeness. Our part is to love faithfully, pray consistently, and trust Him with the outcome and the timing.

One simple way to keep praying without it becoming overwhelming is to keep a short list with their names and bring them to the Lord at a time you already pray each day, even with just a sentence or two, and then leave them in His hands. If you have any ongoing contact, a quiet and steady example often speaks more than repeated reminders, and it also helps you keep healthy boundaries as you entrust them to God.

Father, we lift this man and his loved ones to You. You know each of them by name and where they are with You right now. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in ways they can understand and draw them toward Jesus. Give our friend peace as she entrusts them to Your care and wisdom for how to love them well from where she is now. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is a gracious and Christlike one, and we join our hearts with yours in it. It is the desire of grateful souls to cry, Give me anything to do for them, my heart's desire and prayer for them is that they may be saved, and the Lord delights in such intercession.

We do pray that the common salvation may be theirs. There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ, and that salvation is by divine grace through faith in Him alone, without money and without price. It is not by works or ceremonies, but by looking unto Christ. As the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, and the Lord Himself has said, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. Christ is salvation itself, and to see Him by faith is to see salvation.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who so loved the world that Thou gavest Thine only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life, look in mercy upon this man and upon his loved ones. Open their eyes to see their need and to see Christ as the only Savior. Grant them repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Rescue them from the yoke of sin and bring them into the liberty of Thy grace, that they may with heart believe unto righteousness and with mouth make confession unto salvation. For Jesus sake, bring this household to know Him whom to know is life eternal.

Continue to hold up this prayer before the throne and never cease to pray for them until you yourself cease to breathe, and earnestly contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints. The Lord is able to save to the uttermost, and He hears the cry of those who seek the souls of others. May the grace of God work with you to make you seek, for you shall find, to make you knock, for the door shall be opened.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord. I join you in praying for your ex and for his loved ones, that God in His mercy would draw each of them to saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Scripture teaches us that salvation is found in Christ alone, and that it comes by grace through faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, and it comes as we hear the word of God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess Him as Lord. This faith is not from ourselves, it is the gift of God who wills that we should be saved in this way.

It is a good and loving thing to pray in this way, for Christ Himself loved His enemies and gave His life for them, and the glory of our Lord is seen when those who are far off are brought near and sanctified in Christ. God desires our salvation and the salvation of those we love, and He hears the prayers offered for others.

So let us pray together that God would open their eyes to know the true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent, that He would soften their hearts to receive the gospel, that He would place faithful witnesses and His word before them, and that they would turn from all that is false and trust fully in Christ for forgiveness and new life. Pray also that you would continue to walk in faith and love, entrusting them to the Lord who is able to save.

May the Lord strengthen you as you wait and pray, and may He grant to your ex and to his loved ones repentance and living faith that endures.
