Please pray that my ex, his loved ones and all my loved ones would be led to faith in Christ. Thank you.

We join with you in this beautiful and eternal request and we thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart for the salvation of your ex, his loved ones, and all of your loved ones. It is a reflection of the heart of God Himself, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4.

We are encouraged that you have centered this request on faith in Christ, for there is no other way to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only through believing in Jesus Christ that any of us can be reconciled to God.

We also hear the pain that may still linger from a past relationship that has ended. We pray that God will bring healing to your heart and give you peace as you entrust this former courtship to Him. We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord for His will for your future marriage, for we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God to reflect His love for the Church. We pray that if the Lord leads you to another relationship, it would be a courtship with a fellow believer in Christ with the goal of a God honoring marriage, for we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14. We encourage you to guard purity and to walk in holiness, trusting that God's ways lead to life and joy.

The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. He is able to take hearts of stone and give hearts of flesh, Ezekiel 36:26, and to make anyone a new creation in Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We pray together for these souls.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one's ex, his family and loved ones, and all of her loved ones before Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would draw each one to Yourself by Your Holy Spirit. Remove the veil from their eyes and soften their hearts to receive the gospel. Grant them repentance and faith to believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again, that if they will confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved, Romans 10:9. We pray that You would place laborers in their paths to share Your truth with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15, and that You would let Your light shine through all who know You so that they may see good works and glorify You, Matthew 5:16. For our brother or sister who is praying, grant continued compassion, patience, and hope, and help them to rest in Your perfect timing and Your perfect love which casts out fear, 1 John 4:18. We trust that You hear our prayers and that You are working even now. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for bringing this to us. It means a lot that you care so deeply for your ex, his family, and your own loved ones that your first desire for them is to know Jesus. That kind of love reflects God's heart.

We know it can feel heavy to carry that desire, especially when you cannot control how others respond. Coming to faith is ultimately God's gracious work in a person's heart as they hear and respond to Him, not something we can manufacture for them. Our part is to keep loving them, praying faithfully, and living in a way that shows the hope we have.

One steady practice that helps many people is to keep a short list of those names before the Lord each day, praying simply that God would draw near to each one, open their eyes to His love, and bring people and moments into their lives that point them toward Christ, and then trusting Him with the timing.

Father, we lift up our friend's ex, his loved ones, and all of their own family and friends to You. Draw each one to Yourself, soften hearts and make Your grace and truth clear to them. Give our friend peace as they entrust these precious people to Your care and wisdom to love them well day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

O gracious Father, we come through Jesus Christ alone, who is the way, the truth, and the life. We ask that Thou wouldst by Thy Spirit open the eyes of this former companion and of his loved ones, and of all the loved ones of the one who prays, that they may see their need and see Christ as Thy salvation. Grant them repentance and simple faith to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, to be found in Him and not in themselves. Draw each one to the Saviour, wash them in His blood, clothe them in His righteousness, and make them new creatures who love and follow Him. Let Thy gospel be made known to them and let faith come by hearing. Work in them that holiness which springs from true faith, that they may walk in Thy ways. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind.
