Ex

We join you in lifting up your ex before the Lord and we thank you for having a heart of compassion to pray for healing even after the relationship has ended. We know that trauma leaves deep wounds in the heart and mind, and we believe God is the one who can truly heal and restore.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask for Your healing hand upon this person who has experienced trauma. You see every hurt, every memory, and every hidden pain. We ask that You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds as You promise in Psalm 147:3. We pray that You would draw near, for You are near to those who have a broken heart and save those who have a crushed spirit in Psalm 34:18. We ask that You replace fear and anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7, and that You would bring comfort as the God of all comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. We pray that this person would come to know Your love and find wholeness in You, and we also pray for you who is praying, that God would give you peace, wisdom, and freedom from bitterness as you release this person into His care. We ask that You would work all things together for good for those who love You according to Romans 8:28, and that both of you would be made new and whole in Christ. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We want to gently encourage you with biblical truth as you bring this request. We believe that God designed romantic love to lead toward marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled in Hebrews 13:4. We view being a boyfriend or girlfriend as courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer who is equally yoked in 2 Corinthians 6:14, rather than simply a partnership to be tried and ended. If there was sexual intimacy outside of marriage in this past relationship, scripture calls that fornication and calls us to flee from it in 1 Corinthians 6:18 and to repent and walk in purity. Even when a relationship has ended, God can bring forgiveness and cleansing and make us a new creation in 2 Corinthians 5:17. We also want to encourage you not to remain bound by an ungodly soul tie or to seek to rekindle a relationship that would not honor God, but instead to seek His will whether that means reconciliation only if it would lead to a godly marriage that honors Him, or whether it means moving forward separately in forgiveness and wholeness. We encourage you to forgive as God in Christ forgave you in Ephesians 4:32, to bless and not hold resentment, and to entrust both your heart and your ex to the Lord for His healing and direction.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. To be saved and to have our prayers heard, we must believe in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord in Romans 10:9. It is through faith in Him that we receive forgiveness, healing, and eternal life. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus both for your own healing and as you intercede for your ex, that both of you may know the hope and restoration that only He can give.

We encourage you to continue to pray but also to set healthy and holy boundaries, to seek godly counsel, and to pursue your own walk with the Lord with a focus on purity and purpose. God promises fear not, for I am with you in Isaiah 41:10, and He will give strength and uphold you. We pray that God will lead you to a godly spouse in His timing if it is His will for you to marry, and that He will bring complete healing to your ex as he or she seeks the Lord.

We were touched by your compassion in bringing your ex to the Lord for healing. It takes a gracious heart to keep praying for someone after a relationship has ended, and we are joining you in that prayer.

Healing from trauma is rarely quick or simple, and we admire your desire to entrust this person to God's care rather than trying to carry it yourself. One thing that can help when you care deeply is to give that concern a clear place in prayer and then leave the outcome in His hands. You might choose a brief, simple prayer for your ex that you can return to when the burden comes to mind, asking for wholeness, safety, and wise support around them, and release the need to fix or monitor how God is working.

We also pray for you as you carry this concern, that God would give you peace and healthy boundaries as you continue to care from a distance.

Father, we lift this dear one’s ex to You. You see all they have been through and what still weighs on them. We ask for Your healing presence, for comfort where there is pain, and for trustworthy help and community to come alongside them if needed. Guide them toward wholeness in Your time and way, and give our friend peace as they entrust this person to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your request concerning your former companion has been heard, and we will bring it before the Lord in prayer.

There is a sacred order in the ways of God which we must remember, for as we have often taught, there is first forgiveness and then healing. A man lay in the presence of Jesus hoping and expecting both, and the Saviour first spoke the sentence which only One authorized to absolve can speak, Thy sins be forgiven thee, and afterward came the healing. So we pray not only for the easing of wounds and trauma, but first for that deeper healing of the soul which only God can give, for no one can remit sin but God only, and there is no true wholeness apart from Him.

Be assured that there is forgiveness with Him. It is a soft and gentle whisper from the lips of love, But there is forgiveness. However sinful life may have been until now, whatever the trauma and the sin that has caused it or followed it, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son. It was for this He shed great clots of gore upon the ground, that He who knew no sin might be the propitiation for sinners. Where the offence went, from that very place the forgiveness comes, and we are to fly not away from God but to Him, for with Him is forgiveness.

And from that forgiveness flows healing. It is written, The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing, and sacred influence descends from our Lord Jesus in heaven down to the sons of men. After we have been saved from sin by faith in Jesus Christ, it is wonderful how everything about Christ will help to purge and cleanse that which as yet is not cleansed. This medicine is given and appointed for the very purpose of healing.

Our prayer therefore is this, that the Lord in mercy would look upon this one who has suffered trauma, that He would grant repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that sins might be forgiven and the heart washed thoroughly and cleansed, and that the leaves of the Tree of Life might be applied for healing to spirit, mind and body. We ask that He would restore the joy of His salvation and keep His Holy Spirit near, and make even this sorrow to serve His good purpose, for He overrules all things to separate the chaff from the wheat and to make His people clean grain fit for His garner.

We will continue to pray that both you and this dear one may be found seeking first the forgiveness that is with God, and there to find that perfect restoration which Christ alone can give.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request to pray for your former partner and we bring this need before the Lord with you.

We pray that God in His mercy would bring deep healing from all trauma, and that this healing would be rooted in the truth of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we find salvation and wholeness. We ask that the Lord would gently apply His healing work like medicine to what is wounded, restoring health where there has been pain, and opening eyes to see His grace and truth clearly. We pray that any cloud that has come from past hurt or sin would be lifted, and that there would be renewal of mind and heart in Christ.

We also pray for you, that the Lord would give you peace, wisdom and strength as you entrust this person to Him, and that you both would be drawn closer to Him and walk in His ways. True healing comes when we turn to Christ in repentance and faith and seek to live according to His design, and we pray that this would be the foundation for whatever healing He brings.

We will continue to pray that God brings restoration, comfort and lasting hope through Jesus, and that His will be done in both of your lives.
