Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. It is a good and right desire to want those you love to come to know Jesus, and God hears that kind of prayer.

Scripture teaches that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by our own efforts or goodness. It is a gift of God, so no one can boast. That faith is not just agreeing that God exists, even the evil spirits believe that and tremble, but a living trust in Christ that God counts for righteousness, just as He counted Abraham's trust for righteousness long before Jesus came. When that trust is real, it changes a life. It cannot remain invisible. A genuine faith will show itself in a changed heart and in works of love and obedience, not because those works earn salvation, but because they are the evidence that salvation has taken place. Without faith it is impossible to please God, but the faith that pleases Him is the kind that lives and acts.

That is why we can pray with hope for your former partner and for all your loved ones. Only God can give the new birth, and He does it through His Word. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, not by seeing a miracle or having a powerful experience. Even if someone saw something supernatural, they would not believe unto salvation without responding to the message of the gospel. So the most loving thing we can do is pray that God opens their hearts to hear and to receive what the Bible says about Jesus, who died for our sins and was raised for our justification, and to share that Word with them as God gives opportunity.

We also remember that faith looks beyond what is seen. It is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance of what we cannot yet see. Many faithful men and women in the past trusted God and did not see every promise fulfilled in their lifetime, yet they died still trusting Him. God honored that trust. Your prayers may not be answered in the timing or way you expect, but God is faithful to hear and to work, and He desires that people come to repentance and to faith in His Son.

Let us pray together.

Father, we thank You that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, by Your grace. We ask for mercy for this former partner and for each loved one on this heart. Draw them by Your Spirit, open their eyes to their need, and open their ears to hear Your Word. Grant them true, living faith that trusts in Jesus alone for righteousness, and let that faith bring new life and fruit that remains. Give comfort and strength to the one praying, to continue in faith, to live out that faith with love, and to speak Your truth with grace and patience. We trust them into Your hands, knowing that You are patient and merciful and that You hear the prayers of Your people. In the name of Jesus we ask this, amen.
