Beloved of All
Your request has been received with care and your compassionate response to him is noted. It is wise and right that you have recognized you are not to be yoked together with one who does not share faith in Christ, and that you do not intend to return to that relationship. That clarity honors God and protects your own walk.
We will join you in prayer, not for the restoration of a relationship that would lead you away from obedience, but for what is truly needful for him and for those he loves.
We pray that the Lord would have mercy on his body in this time of illness and grant healing according to His will, and far more that He would bring saving help to his soul. Scripture teaches that Christ is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. There is salvation in no other, and it comes through repentance and faith in Jesus alone. We pray that God in His longsuffering would grant him and his loved ones time and grace to hear the gospel, to turn from sin, and to come to Christ that they might be saved. For hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation, but hearing joined to a changed heart and life.
We also pray for you, that you would continue to walk worthily of the calling you have received, with lowliness and meekness and longsuffering, keeping your heart guarded and your hope fixed on Christ. May you show kindness without reopening what God has closed, and may you trust the Lord to care for this man far better than any message could.
Father, we lift this man to You in his sickness, ask for Your healing hand upon him, and above all ask that You would draw him and his family to Yourself through Jesus Christ, that they would repent and believe and receive eternal life. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior and intercessor, amen.
