Silas
Beloved of All
We join you in prayer in the name of Jesus according to Luke 9:24, where Jesus said that whoever tries to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for His sake will save it.
That word shows the choice before every person. To hold tightly to his own life and his own way is to lose it in the end, but to surrender his life to Jesus is to truly save it. We are praying that your landlord will make that surrender. Our prayer is that he will not try to keep his life for himself, but will lose it for Jesus and find real and eternal life in Him.
We pray that he will receive the grace of God and not turn it away. The grace of God is what brings salvation, and it has been made available to all people. This salvation is great because it is open to anyone who will come. Whoever will come to Jesus, He will not cast out, and even the lowest sinner can receive it. It is a gift of grace through what Jesus did on the cross, where He became the author of eternal salvation. There is no other way, and there is no escape if this great salvation is neglected.
Scripture says now is the accepted time and today is the day of salvation. We pray that your landlord will not wait or put off what God is offering him now, because each person has an appointed opportunity and eternity depends on how he responds. We pray that today he will hear the Lord and respond while there is time, because to confess Jesus as Lord now with faith in the heart that God raised Him from the dead is unto salvation and eternal life.
Salvation is near, as close as the mouth. We pray that he will simply confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, and be saved. We pray that God will draw him by His mercy and grace, that the light of Christ will expel all darkness and every work of darkness from his life, and that he will see the greatness and power of Jesus and trust Him fully as his rock and salvation and refuge.
We also bring the rented apartment situation before the Lord. We ask that Jesus will reign over it, that His light will drive out darkness, and that His victory, mercy, and faithfulness will be seen by all. We ask for His healing power and guidance for your landlord on his journey, that he will be brought into the hope and promise of the kingdom of God.
We thank the Lord for His love and faithfulness, and we ask all of this in the saving name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation. Amen.
