We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for your ex-landlord, standing firmly on the truth of Luke 9:24, which declares, "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This verse is not merely a call to surrender but an invitation to true life, life found only in Christ. We recognize that without Jesus, all efforts to preserve one’s own way lead only to eternal loss, but in Him, even the most broken soul can be redeemed and restored.
Father God, we lift up this man to You, asking that the scales would fall from his eyes and that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). Lord, we pray that he would come to know You not just as a distant concept but as the Savior who gave His life to rescue him from darkness. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him see the emptiness of a life lived apart from You. We declare that no stronghold of pride, bitterness, or worldly attachment will keep him from surrendering to Your love. Break every chain, Jesus, and draw him to Yourself with cords of kindness and bands of love (Hosea 11:4).
We also bring the apartment situation before You, Lord. We rebuke any spiritual oppression or unclean spirits that may be influencing this circumstance, for we know that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that this place is covered by the blood of Jesus and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard this home and all who dwell in it (Philippians 4:7). May Your light expose any hidden darkness, and may Your healing flow through every room, relationship, and unresolved conflict.
Father, we ask that You would work in ways beyond our understanding. If there are financial struggles, legal entanglements, or relational brokenness tied to this situation, we trust You to intervene. Provide wisdom for all involved, and let Your justice and mercy prevail. We pray that this ex-landlord would not only come to faith but would also experience Your provision and restoration in every area of his life. Let him see Your hand at work, Lord, so that his heart would be fully turned toward You.
We also want to gently address the importance of salvation in Jesus’ name. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this ex-landlord does not yet know Jesus as Lord, we pray that he would confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the only way to eternal life, and we ask that You would make this truth unmistakably clear to him. Let him not be deceived by false teachings or empty philosophies but cling to the gospel, which is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes (Romans 1:16).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. Even when we do not see immediate answers, we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare that Your will shall be done in this situation, and we stand in agreement with Your promises. Strengthen our faith as we wait, and let us be vessels of Your love and truth to those around us.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
