Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an ex-boyfriend who had a biopsy yesterday for possible prostate cancer. Pray for him as he recovers from the biopsy. Pray for him in whatever may happen next in this journey. Pray for his overall physical health as he has many health issues. Pray for his emotional, mental and spiritual health as well - pray for him to be set free from false teachings and brought to true faith in Christ (pray the same for all my loved ones). Please also pray for me as I have a problem with sex and constantly thinking about it. Thank you.

We lift this dear brother in Christ before the throne of grace, asking for Your healing touch upon his body as he recovers from the biopsy. Father, we pray for complete restoration and strength, that any pain or discomfort would be eased by Your comforting hand. If this journey leads to a diagnosis of prostate cancer or any other health challenge, we ask for wisdom for his doctors, peace for his heart, and the assurance of Your presence with him every step of the way. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal and sustain him in body, mind, and spirit.

Lord, we also pray for his emotional and mental well-being. The weight of health struggles can be heavy, but You promise to carry our burdens (Matthew 11:28). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and guard his heart from fear or anxiety. Above all, we pray for his spiritual health. We rebuke every lie and false teaching that may have taken root in his heart, and we ask that You draw him into a deep, personal relationship with You. Open his eyes to the truth of Your Word and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. May he come to know You as his Lord and Savior, if he does not already, and walk in the freedom that only comes through faith in You.

For your struggle with thoughts of sex, we want to gently remind you that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The constant preoccupation with sexual thoughts can be a battle, but we serve a God who provides a way out of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). We encourage you to bring these thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to fill your mind with things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Consider setting boundaries in what you watch, read, or engage with, and seek accountability with a trusted brother or sister in Christ. Remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), but there is also power in the Holy Spirit to overcome sin.

We also want to address the mention of an "ex-boyfriend." If this relationship was not aligned with God’s design for marriage, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, we encourage you to reflect on whether this relationship honored God. Sexual intimacy outside of marriage is considered fornication in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18), and we are called to flee from it. If this relationship is in the past, we pray for healing and restoration for both of you, that you would each seek God’s will for your lives moving forward. If you are still entangled in emotional or physical ways, we urge you to surrender this to the Lord and seek His guidance for true repentance and freedom.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and dependence on You. We lift up this brother who is facing health challenges, asking for Your healing and comfort. Lord, we pray that You would minister to his spirit, drawing him closer to You and setting him free from any false teachings or beliefs. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may know the truth and be set free by it (John 8:32).

For the one who has shared this request, we pray for deliverance from the struggle with impure thoughts. Father, we ask that You would renew their mind and give them strength to resist temptation. Help them to walk in purity and to seek Your face above all else. We also pray for wisdom and discernment in relationships, that they would only pursue what aligns with Your will and Your Word.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears our prayers and answers them according to Your perfect will. We trust in Your goodness and Your plan for each of our lives. May we all grow closer to You through these trials and challenges, and may Your name be glorified in all things. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are praying with you for both of these burdens you named.

Thank you for bringing your ex-boyfriend before the Lord so faithfully. Waiting for biopsy results is hard, and recovering from the procedure while carrying other health issues takes a toll physically and emotionally. We are asking God to bring healing where He wills, to give his doctors wisdom for what comes next, and to give him peace and comfort in the waiting. We are also joining you in praying for his spiritual health and for your loved ones, that God would draw each of them to know Jesus truly and walk in His truth.

And thank you for sharing honestly about your own struggle with constant sexual thoughts. It takes courage to name that, and you are not alone in facing it. When those thoughts feel intrusive, it often helps to bring them out of isolation. One practical step many find steadier than trying to fight thoughts alone is to invite one trusted, same-sex pastor or mature believer into regular, honest accountability, and to put clear boundaries around inputs that tend to trigger the spiral, especially late at night online or with media. If the pattern feels stuck, meeting with a pastor or Christian counselor for ongoing support can also be a good next step alongside prayer.

For your ex-boyfriend's recovery, we encourage following his medical team's guidance for follow up care as you continue to pray.

Father, we lift this man to You as he heals from his biopsy and awaits what is next. Give him strength, comfort, and true hope in Christ, and do the same for his loved ones. And we lift our friend who wrote, asking for Your help to renew his mind, to find freedom and self control, and to walk in purity. Lead him to the right support and draw him closer to You day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer with sincerity and care.

We pray for this man who has undergone a biopsy and who bears many infirmities of the body. We ask the Great Physician to grant him recovery from the procedure, to give wisdom to those who care for him, and to spare and restore him according to His perfect will. Yet we know the body is but for a little while, and the soul is for eternity, and therefore we pray far more earnestly for his spiritual health. We ask that the Lord would in mercy deliver him from all false teaching and bring him to true and living faith in Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other. We pray the same for all your loved ones, that they may be brought out of darkness into the light of the knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord.

We also pray for you, as you have honestly confessed your struggle with sexual thoughts. This confession is not to be despised, for the Lord loves honesty and looks upon the contrite heart. Scripture teaches us that charity and purity are the two great garments of Christianity, and that charity without purity will be of no use, for without holiness no man shall see the Lord. When lust has conceived, it brings forth sin, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. That is the pedigree of sin, it is born of lust and it brings forth death. Any sin, whatever it is, if we cling to it and love it, will bring forth death, rest assured of that.

Therefore we urge you to take this temptation seriously and to flee from it, for all sexual intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and all else is sin before a holy God. The prayer our Lord taught us is, Lead us not into temptation. The word includes trial, for all temptation is trial from God though it may be temptation from Satan, and yet temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous. It is right for the Christian to pray, save me from the mischief of the temptation, let me not stain my garments, let me not slip nor slide. And he who prays, Lead us not into temptation, and then goes into it, is not sincere before God. Never go into temptation. Do not seek it, do not linger near it, do not feed the mind with what inflames lust.

We pray for you now that God would give you a hatred for sin and a love for purity, that He would guard your eyes and your thoughts, and keep you by His grace. We pray that you would set your mind on Christ, who is alive and is our familiar Friend, and look to Him for all things, for victory is found not in our own strength but in His. In His power you may overcome evil, and in His goodness you may be kept.

Let us pray together. O Lord, have mercy upon this man in his bodily affliction and grant him healing as it pleases Thee, but above all grant him repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, that he may know Thee as his Saviour. Have mercy upon all the loved ones of this dear soul, and draw each one to Thy Son. And have mercy upon the one who has written to us, forgive sexual sin through the blood of Christ, cleanse the heart, renew the mind, and lead not into temptation but deliver from evil. Give a tender conscience, a watchful walk, and a constant looking unto Jesus. Keep us all in purity and in charity, for Thy glory. Amen.

We encourage you to walk in the light, to feed daily upon the Word of God, to pray without ceasing, to avoid all places and pictures and practices which stir impure desire, and to seek fellowship and accountability with godly believers who will help you pursue holiness. If this struggle persists, seek the counsel of a faithful pastor who can walk with you. The Lord is able to keep you and to cleanse you, and His grace is sufficient.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for entrusting us with these requests and for your honesty before the Lord. We join you in bringing each of these needs to God in prayer.

We pray for your former boyfriend as he recovers from his biopsy. We ask the Lord to grant him healing and strength, to ease any pain or anxiety as he waits for results, and to guide his doctors with wisdom for whatever steps come next. We pray for his overall physical health, and even more for his emotional, mental and spiritual health. We ask that God would draw him out of any false teaching and bring him to true saving faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We pray the same for all your loved ones, that they too would come to know Christ truly and walk in His truth.

We also thank you for sharing your struggle with sexual thoughts. Your honesty is a good step toward seeking holiness. Scripture teaches that purity begins in the heart, and that chastity is part of holiness. The Lord calls us to be pure in heart and to keep our thoughts and desires under His rule. This means not only avoiding the outward act outside of marriage, which God has designed as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, but also turning away from the inward looking and dwelling that gathers lust into the heart. When we continually entertain images and desires, we kindle a fire that can easily lead us further. God calls us instead to crucify those unreasonable desires, to cut away evil thoughts, and to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to Him, worshiping Him in spirit and in truth with a pure mind.

We pray for you now, that God would give you self control, a renewed mind, and a pure heart. We ask that He would help you to guard your eyes and your thoughts, to turn quickly from temptation, and to fill your mind with what is good and holy. We pray that He would strengthen you by His Spirit, forgive you through Christ where you have fallen, and help you walk in holiness not as a burden but with joy, out of love for Him. We pray that you would know His grace to forgive and His power to change you day by day.

We encourage you to stay rooted in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with faithful believers who can support you and keep you accountable. If tempting thoughts persist, bring them quickly to the Lord in prayer, replace them with truth from His Word, and seek help from a trusted pastor or mature Christian.

May the Lord grant healing, peace, and above all saving faith to your former boyfriend and your loved ones, and may He grant you growing purity, peace of mind, and joy in Christ as you seek Him.
