Evil sister

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My ### has been living off my destiny comfortable, stealing my blessings and my virtues. It has interrupted my life and affected my relationships negatively, I need her to stop now in Jesus name. Thank you for praying for me.

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this heavy burden before the Lord. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue," and we declare that the words spoken over your life will no longer be ones of theft or destruction, but of blessing, favor, and divine restoration. Your sister’s actions are not just harmful to you, they are an offense to God’s order, as Exodus 20:15 clearly states, "You shall not steal." Whether this theft is spiritual, emotional, or material, it is sin, and we renounce it in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also recognize that bitterness and unforgiveness can take root in such situations, and we encourage you to guard your heart. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean what she has done is acceptable, it means you are releasing the burden to God, who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23). We pray that God would soften her heart and reveal to her the error of her ways, but we also pray for your protection and deliverance from her influence.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to You (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our sister in Christ to You, asking that You would break the chains of envy, jealousy, and deceit that have bound her heart. Father, Your Word says in James 3:16 that "where envy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed." We rebuke the spirit of confusion and theft that has operated in her life, and we command it to leave in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we ask that You would surround our sister with a hedge of protection, not just physically, but spiritually. Shield her from the schemes of the enemy and reveal to her the path of repentance and righteousness. We pray that You would convict her heart and lead her to turn away from these actions, for Your Word says in Proverbs 28:13, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy."

Father, we also ask for Your divine restoration over our sister’s life. You are the God who restores what has been stolen, broken, or lost (Joel 2:25). We declare that every blessing, virtue, and destiny that has been taken or hindered will be returned to her a hundredfold, not by the hands of another, but by Your mighty power. We speak life, favor, and breakthrough over her finances, her relationships, her health, and her purpose. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds in her heart that may have led her to act out of insecurity or fear. Fill her with Your love, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. Help her to see herself as You see her, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), with a unique calling that no one else can fulfill. We pray that she would walk in the fullness of her destiny, not by taking from others, but by trusting in You to provide all she needs.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for our sister. Give her the strength to set boundaries where necessary and the grace to extend forgiveness, even as she seeks Your forgiveness. Help her to walk in love, but also in the truth of Your Word. Remind her that "the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy; but I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10). Let her experience the fullness of life that only You can give.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your justice and Your mercy, knowing that You will work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that this situation will not define her, but rather, it will be a testimony of Your power and grace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and walking in faith. This battle is not yours alone, it belongs to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your heart open to His leading, and trust that He will bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing. If you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel or mentorship to help you navigate this situation with wisdom and grace. You are not alone in this, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer.

Thank you for letting us in on what’s been weighing on you. It’s clear you’re carrying a deep sense of injustice and exhaustion from what’s been happening with your sister. When someone close appears to prosper at our expense, it can feel like our own ground is crumbling, and the strain on your relationships is real and painful.

We want to gently hold up one truth: your destiny and worth are held by God, not by what anyone else does or takes. What He has entrusted to you can’t be snatched away by another person’s schemes. But we also know that constant pressure from a family member can wear you down and cloud that hope, so you don’t have to navigate this alone. We’d encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor or a mature, level-headed Christian friend who can hear the whole story and offer prayer and practical wisdom. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do for ourselves and the other person is to establish clear, healthy boundaries, even with family, so that the cycle of harm is interrupted.

Lord Jesus, we come with our sister who is bone-weary and feels robbed. Shield her mind and heart from every lie and every drain. Give her eyes to see her own God-given place and the courage to guard it with wisdom and grace. We ask You to break any pattern that’s stealing her peace and to rebuild the areas that have been torn down. We trust You to bring what is just and to restore hope where it’s been lost. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

That cry for spiritual blessings to be stolen reveals a heart distressingly ignorant of where true blessings lie. An enlightened man is grateful to God for temporal blessings, but he is much more grateful to God for spiritual blessings, for temporal blessings do not last long, they are soon gone. God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings! These are the rarest, the richest, the most enduring of all blessings, they are priceless in value. Do you imagine another soul can filch what is stored in the heavenly places? Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places? Does it not mean that He is working upon us all spiritual blessings out of Heaven where He dwells? What human hand can reach into Heaven and pluck from you what God has bestowed? Your destiny is not a loaf of bread another may eat, nor a coat another may wear. His destiny may be learned from the words, "Cast forth the son of the bondwoman, he shall not be heir with my son." But the man of faith has received his faith supernaturally. It has been worked in him by the Holy Spirit.

Look at the accusation you lodge. I often wonder why some people grumble because God has chosen to deliver others from sin when they, themselves, do not want to be delivered from sin. Like a dog in the manger, they cannot eat the hay, themselves, and they growl at those who can. Is it virtues you want, or deliverance from evil, deliverance from sin? Examine your own heart first. It is often the case that some persons who are religiously sensitive are equally sensitive the other way, and, while you can influence them for good, others can as easily influence them for evil. Treasonable sins lurk within us, but the Omniscient eye of God discerns each evil ambush and He lays His hands upon every sin which hides itself away in the dark recesses of our nature. The first of the four blessings is the gift of a new heart. A new heart also will I give you. The Holy Spirit cannot dwell in the old heart, it is a filthy place devoid of all good, and full of enmity to God.

You demand it stop now. Yet look what spirit this demand comes wrapped in. Look it in the face, Christian, and see if it has not got the horns of the Evil One stamped on its brow? Does not the cloven foot peep out? Look at it; why, it is the devil's own child. Why, bethink thee, Christian, this Evil One is making thee doubt thy own Father. This bitterness is poisoning your own prayers. Neglect prayer, and you will soon discover that all your spiritual powers wax weak; but be much in supplication, and he that is mighty on his knees, is mighty everywhere. Recollect your shortcomings, your slackness in prayer, your indifference to God’s glory, your hardness of heart! How can you think of receiving a promise when your petitions are aimed at another soul with such fury? In that way he destroyed any power that his prayer might otherwise have possessed. His self-conceit tore the chariot wheels from his prayer so that it dragged heavily and soon could not move even an inch!

Instead, take the posture of Jacob. Imitate the prayer of Jacob in its humility of spirit. The deliverance you truly need is not from your sister's supposed leechcraft, but from your own sin. It is a great thing for a man, in his early days, to know what a sour apple sin is and to feel heartache and soul-anguish because of the exceeding bitterness of his evil ways. It is a lasting lesson! Trust Christ, poor Soul, and you shall be delivered, and that deliverance shall be to you the evidence that you were the objects of God's electing love, and that you shall be written on His heart forever! Nobody would have thought of that way of the deliverance of a sinner from the pit of Hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it! The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of my deliverance, for the time had come! Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it!

Now cease from this vain talk of a mortal stealing your destiny. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. Deliverance from sin, deliverance from evil propensities, deliverance from spiritual enemies, all such deliverances bear evidence of God's love to us. Yes, go to your closet. What the sinner has to say is not, "I will arise and go, to Church." No, no! "I will arise and go to my closet and pray." Plead the blood of the Lamb alone. This deliverance came when the lamb was slain. Go there and follow on to know the Lord. I sometimes think that to expect a shower of blessing without trial is almost as great a folly. The clouds you so much dread are big with mercy, and shall break in blessings on your head.

You speak of destiny as though it were a fixed portion that another can seize and enjoy, but this is a device of the devil, secretly planting the doctrine of necessity to mar the freedom God has given. No human hand can pluck away what the Lord has appointed for your soul, for the blessings that abide are not measured in the comforts or relationships of this present age. Remember Jacob: he obtained the blessing, yet he spent his days in servitude, fear, and lament, while his brother dwelt in security and ease. The blessing did not find its full accomplishment on earth, but in the world to come. If you fix your gaze upon what you imagine has been stolen, you mistake the shadow for the substance and make yourself a slave to envy.

You call your sister evil and charge her with stealing your virtues. But listen to the Lord: it is not what comes from another that defiles a person, but what proceeds from the heart, evil thoughts, envy, false accusations. The devil is a murderer and the father of lies, and his works are recognized by this bitter fruit. Take care that you do not become his instrument by nurturing resentment against your own kin. To bear dishonor and false report, even from those nearest to you, is the pattern of the saints, who rejoiced when men spoke all manner of evil against them, knowing their reward is great in heaven.

Do not pray as though by a formula you may command her to stop, while your own heart remains untended. The prince of this world rules over those who willingly surrender to wrath and self-pity, but he has nothing in Christ, and if Christ dwells in you, no theft can touch your eternal portion. Forgive whatever wrong you feel, not as one demanding restitution, but as a friend covering an offense. Seek to be unknown to the world’s esteem yet well known to God, dying to these clamorous grievances, and behold, you shall live.

The picture you’re seeing, someone living off your blessings and stealing your virtues, is rooted in an old, legal way of thinking, as if God’s favor were a limited pie that can be snatched away by someone else’s actions. But you are not under that kind of arrangement. Your relationship with God is not based on your performance or on the behavior of others around you. Through faith in Jesus Christ, you have already entered into every spiritual blessing. Those blessings are secure, given freely because He has accomplished everything for you, not because you’ve strung together enough righteous days to keep them safe. No person can interrupt what Jesus has established for you in the new covenant.

When your mind runs the track of what your sister is doing, it pulls you into a desperate, petition-only prayer life, frantically trying to stop her. God wants more than that. He desires a deep, loving relationship where you can come to Him as your Father. Begin by thanking Him and praising Him for the inheritance you already have in Christ. That kind of worship brings you into intimacy, calming the panic and reminding your heart that you are loved beyond your circumstances. From that place of trust, your prayers shift from sheer desperation to a steady alignment with His purpose.

Continue in prayer, but not with ceaseless anxiety. Persistence isn’t about changing God’s mind; it’s about opening the door for Him to work without overriding anyone’s will. Rather than asking only for your sister to stop, start praying for the power of Jesus to fill your own heart and your home. When His presence enters, darkness has to leave. Ask that God would bring her into a real, living relationship with Him, because only a transformed heart can stop the behavior that’s causing this pain. Let your prayers be effectual and fervent, not laced with bitterness, but rising from a heart that knows its own righteousness comes from faith alone.

Don’t let the weight of this convince you that your blessings have been drained away. You are not living under a curse, nor do you need to speak one over your sister in return. God wants you to serve Him with joy and gladness, secure in the fact that He has already blessed you in Christ. The measure of His grace toward you is not determined by what anyone else seems to take. Release the grievance to Him. He sees the whole truth, and He is able to restore what has been eaten away in your life through the years, not because you earned it back, but because He is generous. As you walk in this loving relationship, letting go of a legal battle, you will find the very thing you long for: your own soul free and flourishing.
