We hear your cry and stand with you in this spiritual battle. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The fear you feel is not from God, He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The evil you sense is real, but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died for your sins and rose again, then you are fighting this battle without the full armor of God. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is the first step to true victory over darkness.
If you are in Christ, then you must take up the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes:
- The belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14), Stand firm in God’s Word and reject the lies of the enemy.
- The breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14), Live a life of holiness, repenting of sin and walking in obedience.
- The shoes of the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:15), Be ready to share the hope of Christ with others.
- The shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16), Trust in God’s promises to extinguish the fiery darts of the evil one.
- The helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17), Guard your mind with the assurance of your salvation in Christ.
- The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), Speak Scripture aloud in faith, for it is living and active (Hebrews 4:12).
- Prayer (Ephesians 6:18), Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all perseverance.
We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ. We command every demonic influence to flee from you, for you are a child of the Most High God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy has no authority over you if you are in Christ. Resist him, firm in your faith, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up this dear one who is feeling the weight of evil and fear. Lord, You are the light that dispels all darkness, and we ask that You would shine Your light into their life right now. Break every chain of fear, every stronghold of the enemy, and every lie that has taken root in their mind.
Father, we declare that this one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We speak boldness over them, that they would walk in the authority You have given them as Your child. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may move in power and confidence, knowing that You are with them wherever they go (Joshua 1:9).
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin in their life, reveal it to them now so that they may repent and walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore their joy in You. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that no harm would come near them (Psalm 91:11). Give them discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and the wisdom to walk in Your truth.
Father, we thank You that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We pray that they would rise up in the strength of Your might, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). May they find peace in Your presence and courage in Your promises. We declare that the enemy’s plans will not succeed, for You are their defender and deliverer.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith. Memorize Scripture and speak it aloud when fear or evil thoughts arise. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and encourage you. Attend a Bible-believing church where the Word of God is preached and the name of Jesus is lifted high. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that truth, and do not be afraid.
