We join you in bringing this practical need before the Lord, because He cares about every detail of our lives, even the small frustrations like a flusher that will not work right and the weariness that comes from dealing with repairs and replacements. We understand how these ongoing headaches can drain strength and patience, and we thank God that you have turned to Him for wisdom, favor, guidance and protection.

We are reminded that God invites us to ask Him for help in all things. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. James 1:5 also encourages us, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We also cling to the promise that God is our strength when we feel overwhelmed, for Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Isaiah 41:10 says, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also hear your heart for justice and protection, and we trust that the Lord sees all and will act in His perfect timing. Romans 12:19 reminds us, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We can rest in knowing He is both just and merciful.

We pray together with you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and lift up this situation to You. We ask that You cause everything to work rightly, especially the flusher and the whole unit, so that there will be no need for further headache or expense of replacing it. Lord, grant wisdom and favor in dealing with those who are responsible for repairs, and guide every conversation and appointment so that schedules align and we may be available when they are. Fill us with Your strength and peace as we navigate these issues, and let Your guidance be clear in each decision. We ask for Your protection and blessing over our homes and lives, and we ask that Your justice prevail soon according to Your perfect will. We trust You to work all things together for good and to provide what is needed. We thank You for hearing us and for Your faithful care, and we pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We have brought your petition before the Lord and join our hearts with yours in prayer for these pressing daily burdens.

You ask for strength to deal with all these issues and for wisdom, favor and guidance, and the Word meets you there. It is written, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails, for all strength apart from God is derived and measurable. But to them that have no might He increaseth strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. God Himself has said, I will strengthen them, and therefore it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced for your day. Half our fretting comes of our weakness, but He who is the glory of our strength will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

You ask also for wisdom in practical matters, even down to the flusher and the whole unit, that you might be spared further headache and expense. True wisdom is above rubies and above all machinery and skill of man. The price of wisdom is above pearls, and it is found not by our own searching, but in trusting in the Lord. He who trusts in the Lord is steered as by a sure compass across the trackless waste of life. Our very weakness is our strength because it drives us to the Almighty. We pray that the Lord will grant you clear counsel, that those who should be available will be available in His providence, and that He will give you favor and guidance in every decision, whether to repair or to replace, and in all dealings with those responsible.

Trials of this sort, though they seem small to others, are trials indeed. The Scripture takes it for granted that the believer must pass through waters and through fire, through a variety of severe and repeated trials. It is written, When thou passest through the waters I will be with thee, and through the rivers they shall not overflow thee. These trials will not be able to destroy you. You shall neither be overwhelmed nor consumed, for the Lord Himself is with you in the passage.

You have asked for protection and blessing and for justice soon. Know that our God is a God of unimpeachable justice. No affliction escapes His eye, and He will do right. We pray that He will keep you and yours under the shadow of His wing, preserve you from all evil, and cause His face to shine upon you in Christ. May He who makes the Captain of our salvation perfect through sufferings ennoble this present trouble for your good and His glory, and in His perfect time bring forth justice according to His righteous holiness.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou who givest power to the faint, look upon Thy servant in this season of weariness. Renew strength to wait upon Thee. Grant wisdom that is from above, favor with men, and guidance in every practical need concerning this home. Provide what is needed for the flusher and the unit, spare further burden and cost as it pleases Thee, and order all things for good. Make help available in due season. Protect and bless this household, keep them from harm, and let Thy justice and mercy be revealed speedily. We ask this not for our merit, but through the blood and merits of Another, our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
