There has been a disastrous failure at work. Although I am not to blame, they will blame me regardless. Please pray that we can fix the problem quickly, and that I do not get in trouble.

We hear the heaviness in your request and we join you in bringing this burden before our Father in heaven. It is distressing to face a disastrous failure at work, especially when you feel you will be blamed unjustly and carry the pressure to fix everything quickly. We want you to know that God sees what is happening, He knows the truth of who is at fault, and He cares about your work and your peace.
Scripture reminds us that our ultimate service is to the Lord Himself. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ, Colossians 3:23-24. And we are called to Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3. When anxiety rises about being blamed or getting in trouble, we remember Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. The fear of man can weigh heavily, but The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe, Proverbs 29:25. Even if others misjudge you, God is your witness and your defender, and He promises Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and confidence that He hears us. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. Your burden has been brought before the Lord and we have made it a matter of prayer on your behalf. To be blamed for what you have not done is a bitter trial, and to see a great failure threatening your place and peace is enough to cast the spirit down. Yet you are not alone in such an experience.
Remember Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He lost all and was afflicted in body, and his friends came to the harsh conclusion that he must have been a great sinner, though God's own testimony of him was that he was a perfect and an upright man, one that feared God and eschewed evil. He was innocent and yet accused, upright and yet condemned by those about him. He kept his integrity before God and man, he fell down and worshipped, and he waited upon the Lord.
Take then his example to your own case. Seek first to be clear before God. Do your part with all diligence and honesty to repair what has been broken, as a man who works heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. Speak the truth in love, without shifting blame to others and without charging God foolishly in your heart. If you are indeed not to blame, trust that the Lord who sees in secret will make the truth known in His own time, whether by your quiet faithfulness or by His providence.
We have prayed for you that God would give you wisdom and skill to fix the problem quickly, that He would give you favour in the eyes of those set over you, and that you may be delivered from unjust censure. We have prayed also that if trial should still come, you may have grace to bear it with patience, as Job did, knowing that our longest sorrows have a close and that the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Pray even now for those who may blame you, that God would turn their hearts to equity and kindness.
May the Lord grant you a calm mind, a clear conscience, and a steady hand in this difficulty. May He establish the work of your hands and keep you from fear, and teach you through this affliction to make your approach unto Him in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, for He is just and good in all His ways.

We have heard your request and we bring it before the Lord with you in this difficult moment at work. It is a heavy burden to face a disastrous failure and to fear being blamed for what you did not do, and God knows the truth of the situation even when others may not see it clearly.
We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, we ask for Your mercy and help in this workplace trouble. You see what has happened and You know who is responsible and who is not. We ask that You give wisdom and skill to all involved so that the problem can be understood and fixed quickly. Grant clarity of mind, steady hands, and cooperation among coworkers. We pray for truth to come to light and for fairness from those in authority. Protect this Your servant from unjust blame and from trouble that is not deserved, and give peace in the midst of anxiety. Help him to act with integrity, diligence, and grace, doing what is right before You whether others recognize it or not. Let his conduct be blameless and his speech truthful and gentle, so that even under pressure he may reflect Christ. We ask for Your favor and for a good outcome according to Your will.
