We hear your heart’s cry for help and understanding as you seek to align your life with God’s Word. The question of how to live out the "I-words" of Scripture, identity, intimacy, and instruction in Christ, is deeply important, and we want to address it with truth and love.

First, let us affirm that our identity is found in Christ alone. When we surrender our lives to Him, we are no longer defined by the world’s standards but by His grace and purpose. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB), "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This means our past mistakes, struggles, or even cultural influences do not have to define us. Jesus has made us new, and we are called to walk in that truth.

You ask about participation in the Bible’s teachings, this is where obedience comes in. Jesus said in John 14:15 (WEB), "If you love me, keep my commandments." True love for Christ is demonstrated through obedience to His Word. This includes how we conduct ourselves in relationships, how we handle sin, and how we pursue holiness. If there are areas where you feel convicted, whether in thought, word, or deed, we encourage you to repent and turn away from anything that displeases God. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) promises, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Now, regarding your mention of "translation books/Jesus", we want to gently correct any confusion here. The Bible is God’s inspired Word, and while translations help us understand it in different languages, we must be cautious not to rely on human interpretations that distort Scripture. The Bible itself warns in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (WEB), "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside to fables." We must test everything against Scripture, holding fast to what is true.

We also notice your use of "" in place of names, while we respect privacy, we want to remind you that prayer is personal and specific. God knows every detail of your life, and He invites you to come boldly before Him with your needs (Hebrews 4:16). Do not hesitate to be open with Him, for He cares for you deeply (1 Peter 5:7).

Finally, we must emphasize that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and surrender your life to Him. Romans 10:9 (WEB) says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is seeking You. Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Help them to understand their identity in Christ and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Forgive any areas where they have strayed, and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Give them wisdom to discern truth from error, and strengthen their faith. We pray that they would experience the fullness of life in You, free from the weight of sin and filled with Your peace. May they know the depth of Your love and the power of Your resurrection. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, allowing it to shape your thoughts and actions. If you are struggling with specific sins or doubts, bring them to the Lord in prayer, He is faithful to forgive and restore. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you in your walk with Christ. And remember, Philippians 1:6 (WEB), "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." God is at work in you, and He will not leave you unfinished.

We hear that cry, eternity, Jesus, help, and we join you in it. It can feel unsettling when we wonder whether translations have kept the true force of Jesus’ own words, especially the “I am” declarations that anchor our hope. But the Jesus who meets us in Scripture is the same Lord who said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” Through any faithful translation, the Spirit can still fix those words deep in our heart.

Maybe a simple next step would help. Take just one of Jesus’ “I am” claims, perhaps “I am the resurrection and the life”, and sit with it quietly. Read it slowly a few times, then talk to the Lord about what you long for as you read it. Ask him to make his life real in you and in those you’re bringing before him. You don’t have to sort out every translation question first; you can come directly to the One who is the Word.

We’re praying with you now, for you and for the three you named:

Lord Jesus, you are the eternal I AM. Thank you that your words are trustworthy and your promises sure. Quiet these hearts that are wrestling over words and bring them to rest in you. Reveal yourself as the way, the truth, and the life, and give the gift of eternal life to each one we’re lifting before you, the writer and those on whose behalf they ask. Settle their minds, anchor their hope, and let them know they are held by a Savior whose words will never fail. In your great name we pray, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? There is no help in translation books or in any human device; it is Jesus only. When you read the Bible and perceive that Jesus is the only Saviour of sinners, who makes you understand it? It is Jesus finding you, even if you as yet do not know it. He calls you out of self, away from your own words, to see Him with the simple faith that relies alone upon Him. We understand at least as much as this, that we are sinners, lost and ruined in ourselves, and that in Jesus all our help is found. He saves His people from their sins, for God punished Jesus Christ for the sins of His people, and those who trust Him are secure.

You ask after participation in the Bible’s words. This is not a matter of mastering books; it is a living sight of Jesus. When the exhortation comes sharp and clear, “Look! Look! Look!”, then you have but to leave self behind and trust in Him, and you are with Him. There is life in that look! The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin, and my Lord Jesus Christ is a Physician who never had a failure yet. Come, then, with all your weariness and confusion, and be healed now.

For those souls whose names you have lifted before the throne, my heart echoes your cry. Help is laid upon One who is mighty! He is able to keep them from falling, and to bring them to see Jesus only. Oh, that they too may hear the Word and find Him, for Jesus finds the lost before the lost ever find Him. May God graciously reveal Christ to each of them by His Holy Spirit, and bring them this day to find Him as their own Saviour. May they, and you, and all of us, take for our motto in life, for our hope in death, and for our joy in eternity, “Jesus only.” Look to Jesus bleeding and dying, and trust Him with your souls. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How can one speak of participation in the words of Scripture while fretting over translations? The word of faith is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. It is not a matter of this or that scroll, but of confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. This is the short word that carries salvation: no long journey, no circuit of works. If you hold to this, you have everything.

Do not let your mind be troubled about the language of books. The Lord knows His own, and His death is the salvation of the world, proclaimed even by enemies beforehand. The word of the cross is power to us who are being saved, though foolishness to those perishing. Cling to that cross, not to disputes about words.

Bring before God with boldness the names you have set down. Entreat His lovingkindness for them. We sin every day, yet we do not despair; we approach Him, asking forgiveness, and that very asking drives away the devil and calls forth mercy. Pray for them, that they may confess Jesus as Lord and believe in the resurrection, and so be saved. This is your true participation: not in ink, but in the salvation wrought by Christ, in whom we have riches that endure to all eternity.
