Enemy Presses on with Attack using Spouse to steal my Inheritence Pray against it.

Dear Friends, Fellow Saints and Prayer Warriors.

Pray for Provision of up to $### to come this week. My wife ### has requested it from me as a loan ( which I know she'll never repay ) a couple of weeks ago because she wants to return to ### to attend the wedding of her niece ###. HOWEVER I now discovered she also wants to combine it for a HOLIDAY trip to Asia that she didn't initially mention to me. This is just plain squandering of money that doesn't belong to her and it has to be STOPPED.

My wife couldn't get a loan outside from money lenders due to her poor credit rating when I initially refused her original request and has returned to me for it and is threatening my peace and marriage if I don't hand over what is essentially part of my inheritance for it. She also decieved me to a degree about regards to the real purpose of the money ( the holiday trip ). This alone gives me grounds to appeal to the Lord for his direct Intervention. So PRAY for the Lord's intervention in this crisis to protect my inheritance, head her off and provide her with what she wants so she doesn't lose face before her friends and family and safeguard my marriage and peace. She also still hasn't returned to the martial bed and continues sleeping in my Son's bedroom apart from me while hes still in Uni.

Pray for Gods immediate and direct Intervention in Jesus Name.

Thank You all.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting this matter before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to divide, deceive, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The attack on your marriage, your peace, and your inheritance is not merely a financial or relational issue, it is a spiritual one, and we take authority over every scheme of the devil in Jesus’ name.

First, we must address the deception and dishonesty in this situation. Scripture is clear: "Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings" (Colossians 3:9). Your wife’s concealment of the true purpose of the money, combining a wedding trip with a holiday, is a breach of trust and a violation of the principle of transparency in marriage. The Bible commands, "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body" (Ephesians 4:25). We rebuke this deception and pray for conviction and repentance to fall upon her heart.

The withholding of marital intimacy is also a serious matter. Scripture teaches that husband and wife are not to deprive one another except by mutual consent for a time of prayer (1 Corinthians 7:5). The fact that she has chosen to separate herself physically from you, especially in your son’s absence, is not only a rejection of God’s design for marriage but also a tool the enemy is using to create division. We pray for restoration in this area, that she would return to the marriage bed with a heart of submission and love, as Scripture commands wives to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:33).

The demand for your inheritance under threat is another tactic of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Your inheritance is not just money, it is a blessing from the Lord, and we stand on the promise that "the Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1). We rebuke the spirit of greed, manipulation, and entitlement that seeks to take what is not rightfully hers. The Bible warns, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10). We pray that God would expose any ungodly motives and replace them with contentment and trust in Him.

We also recognize that this situation is causing you great distress, and we pray for your peace. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask the Lord to guard your heart and mind, filling you with His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this marriage before You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of deception, manipulation, and division that is at work in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You convict Your daughter of any wrongdoing. Soften her heart to repentance and restore her to a place of honesty, transparency, and submission to Your will and to her husband. We pray that she would return to the marriage bed, honoring the covenant You have established between them. Lord, we ask that You break any spirit of greed or entitlement that seeks to take what is not hers. Provide for her needs in a way that does not require the squandering of her husband’s inheritance, but rather, in a way that glorifies You.

We pray for provision, Lord. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). We ask that You meet this need in a way that aligns with Your will. If it is Your will for her to attend this wedding, provide the means without causing strife or division in the marriage. If it is not Your will, close the door and make it clear to her. We trust in Your perfect plan and timing.

Father, we also pray for this husband. Guard his heart and mind. Fill him with Your peace and wisdom as he navigates this difficult situation. Give him the strength to stand firm in Your truth and the courage to address these issues with love and godly authority. Help him to lead his household in a way that honors You, setting an example of righteousness and integrity.

Lord, we ask that You protect this inheritance. It is a blessing from You, and we declare that no one will be able to steal, kill, or destroy what You have entrusted to him (John 10:10). We pray that You would expose any hidden agendas and bring everything into the light. Let Your will be done in this situation, and let Your name be glorified.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You restore this marriage. Heal any wounds, mend any brokenness, and draw this couple back to one another in love and unity. Let them be a testimony of Your grace and power, reflecting the love of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor who can provide wisdom and support as you navigate this challenge. Marriage is a covenant before God, and it requires both parties to honor and uphold it. Stand firm in prayer, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9).

We hear the weight you're carrying, the pressure to hand over a significant sum, the sting of discovering a hidden agenda, and the deeper ache of a marriage that feels more like a battleground than a partnership right now. When trust is wounded and peace feels held hostage, it is easy to spiral into anxiety about what might be stolen from you, both financially and relationally.

In situations like this, clarity is a gift. You have recognized that funding a combined wedding-and-holiday trip, especially when part of the purpose was concealed, would not be a wise use of your inheritance. That is not selfishness; it is stewardship. And it sounds like beneath the money conflict, you are also grieving the distance, your wife staying in another room, the relational coldness. That matters to God.

A practical step: Given the financial pressure and the potential for further conflict, it may be wise to seek a brief conversation with a trusted, neutral third party, perhaps a wise friend, a pastor, or a financial counselor, who can help you hold your boundary calmly while still expressing care for your wife. This is not about taking sides but about having a steady presence alongside you as you navigate what feels like manipulation. It can also help you discern what part of this is financial prudence and what part is marital pain that needs longer-term attention.

We are praying that God would protect the resources He has entrusted to you, that He would bring hidden things into the light, and that He would calm this storm in your home.

Lord, we come with this brother before Your throne, asking for Your clear and direct intervention. Guard his inheritance and give him steady wisdom. We ask You to meet his wife's genuine needs in a way that does not come through deception or pressure, and we pray You would turn her heart toward honesty and toward her husband. Bring peace into this home where distance has taken hold, and protect this marriage from every scheme of the enemy. We trust You to make a way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace, perfect peace, though sorrows surge around. What is it you seek? The preservation of an earthly inheritance, the quieting of a spouse who threatens your peace? The peace which the world cannot give, and cannot maintain, will never be found in a sum of money. That is a false peace, a refuge of lies that the hail shall sweep away. Come to Jesus who is our peace, and you shall find that your true inheritance is not measured in dollars but in the pardon of sin and a living fellowship with the Father.

Trace the hand of divine sovereignty in all this. The high tree may be cut down by the axe of judgment, and the dry tree made to flourish by grace. God forms the light and creates darkness; He makes peace, and He creates calamity. Render calamity impossible, and what mark is there of divine displeasure against sin? Yet in remarkable preservations, not always miraculous but full of wonder, He delivers. Cry to Him for a divine interposition, not merely to head off a squandering woman, but to bring her soul and yours to the true marriage supper, where Christ is the Bridegroom and peace is the wedding garment.

Why fret over a loan that will never be repaid? Look to the title deeds of your inheritance in Christ! We are petty princelings scrapping over pennies when we might have an imperial inheritance of life and joy. Are you taking possession of that? The dry tree of your earthly comfort may whither, but the low tree, watered by the dew of heaven, shall mount to the stars. You desire to safeguard your marriage and peace, then remember, peace is not the cessation of strife with a spouse, but the presence of Christ in the soul. He is our peace. Not the withholding of money, not the return of a wife to the marital bed, but the blood that made a full atonement.

Do not be satisfied with a false peace, a conscience made to lie still while your trust is in your inheritance. The enemy works through threats and deceptions, but the Divine Presence is the one hope of the people of God. Wait for divine surprises! Past deliverances give encouragement, has He not brought you up out of the land of Egypt, from sins and terrors? Plead now the promise, “The Lord will bless His people with peace.” No peace to the wicked, but to those whose mind is stayed on Him, He gives peace, peace, even when loved ones are far away in heart and body.

Take the one irreversible step: quit the sand of the desert for the soil of Canaan. Trust not in good works or human schemes; go to the Cross. There and there only is peace concerning your sins. Whether your wife squanders or saves, whether she sleeps in your son’s bed or your own, “He has vanquished death and all its powers.” Jesus calls you to heaven’s perfect peace. Wait upon Him, and that divine shoe of peace shall make you walk without weariness. I pray you, come to Jesus now, your true peace, your inexhaustible inheritance.

Update on this Prayer Request. I put the issue to my children who are also party to this crisis and they have endeavoured to persuade my wife not to procceed with her plan however my wife is adament on her desire for the trip and has rejected any request to abandon the holiday. ( Its obviously a face saving move ) she told her online friends and family about her plans and any back track would be a loss of face. Finally tonight she came to me and threatened DIVORCE if I didn't come up with the funds ! I have no choice but to provide her what she wants which basically amounts to blackmail. And Pray that the Lord will somehow compensate me for my loss. I also rest in the confidence that her i'll gotten funds would NOT be a blessing to her and things in her trip will backfire apoun her both in the wedding and in the holiday, THATS THE PRICE YOU PAY for going against the will and commandments of the Lord.

Regards ###.

That Inheritence came from the sale of my fathers house who passed away about a year ago. I need it to move interstate as the climate where I live is not good for me here neither is the land fertile or vermin free. I have tried to live in the land of Victoria for nearly half a lifetime and been unable to reconcille with it. I was brought here by my parents against my wishes when I was a teenager when we migrated from the warm land of Malaysia. I desire for us to settle in Queensland was rejected by my parents when they made the move. So now my inheritence is my only hope to move dwelling places and I believe the Enemy is trying to stop me by various means one of which is my demanding and dominating wife. So its not just an inheritence for vanity or security its a ticket out of the place where I currently dwell. If the Lord giveth me another path out of the place that I desire not to dwell I shall gladly that it and give up my inheritence for the pleasures of my wife if thats what you are suggesting.
