Enemy Presses on with Attack using Spouse to steal my Inheritence Pray against it.

Consider the nature of the conflict you have described. You see an enemy pressing in, and you name your wife as the threat to your inheritance. But lift your eyes higher: “Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers.” The spirit that now works in her is what truly wars against you, seeking to steal not merely your money but your peace, your holiness, your heavenly treasure. For the struggle is not about riches, not about glory, but about our being enslaved. The enemy’s aim is to despoil you of vast blessings, to cast you out of the peace that is your true inheritance. When you fear the loss of earthly goods, you have already yielded ground.

What inheritance do you seek to protect? Money that perishes? A sum that can be squandered in a holiday? In Heaven there is no such fear: after a man is dead, no enemy succeeds to his inheritance. The tabernacles of the saints are eternal, built not with carpenters but by the hands of the poor. If you would safeguard your true wealth, exhaust your care on that which is incorruptible. Do not cling so fiercely to what cannot last. He who has stolen your money has not injured you, only let him not steal the treasure which is above. You fret over a loan that will not be repaid; but what if God permits this to test your hold on things of earth? “Follow peace with all men, and holiness.” Marriage is not the giver of holiness, but it preserves the holiness that comes from faith by forbidding defilement. Your wife’s separation from your bed is a wound to that bond, yet you treat the money as the greater crisis. Seek first the restoration of chastity and unity, not the withholding of a sum she desires.

You ask for God’s intervention to head her off and provide for her so she does not lose face. But consider: is it always gain to be spared every temporal shame? Sometimes the Lord allows our schemes to fail so that we may learn to despise the world’s honours. Why pray for what may feed her vainglory? Instead, pray that she be delivered from the love of money, which is the root of this strife. Her deception and threats are the fruit of covetousness. And what of your own heart? Examine whether you too have been snared. Every conflict springs either from covetousness, or envy, or vainglory. If you both were at peace, you would learn to despise the things of the earth.

Do not rush into this fray as if the kingdom of heaven depended on a few hundred dollars. Our King often disguises His power, permitting the enemy to advance, that the victory might be more glorious when we stand firm without striking a blow. Be quiet, and wait for the time of conflict; do not let anxiety provoke you into a battle over perishable goods. You have an invincible ally, the grace of the Spirit. Why then do you tremble as one unarmed? Your true enemy knows he cannot rob you of heaven unless you consent. So turn your prayers: ask not so much that God stop her hand, but that He cut out the root of worldly desire in both your hearts. Then the fruit of discord will wither.

The severity of this trial may be a sign that you are near the end of these conflicts; the devil rages because his time is short. Endure nobly. Entrust the money to God. If it is taken, you have lost nothing of substance. If you keep it but lose your peace, you have gained nothing. Strive for the holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, and that includes the ordered life of marriage, the bed undefiled. Pursue peace with the wife given you by God, not by handing over what she demands, but by showing her a soul set free from the love of riches. Then you will overcome the spiritual hosts of wickedness, for darkness is driven away by light.

The cry of your heart is heard. The fear that something precious is about to be taken from you by deceit, the ache of a marriage bed turned cold, the scheming that has poisoned trust, this is a weight no one should carry alone. Yet you are not merely wrestling against flesh and blood. The enemy always seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, and he often uses those closest to us to do it.

What strikes me first is the parable our Lord told about the vineyard. The tenants looked at what belonged to another, the inheritance of the son, and their greed twisted into murderous intent. "Come, let us kill him and the inheritance shall be ours." That same grasping spirit is at work here. Yet notice how the Lord of the vineyard responds. He is not idle. He sees the plot, and He acts in His own time to bring justice. The truth of God seeing this deception is your greatest confidence right now. He does not need loans or threats to do His work.

You have wisely seen that this is a situation demanding divine intervention, not human wrangling. That is precisely where hope lives. Remember the man lowered through the roof, paralyzed and helpless. Before Jesus addressed his body, He spoke to the root of his need. He exercised the divine prerogative that belongs to God alone: "Son, thy sins be forgiven thee." The scribes silently raged, reasoning that only God could do such a thing. They were right, and they were staring at God in the flesh. The Lord was not merely healing a man’s legs; He was demonstrating His absolute authority over every bondage, every power of darkness, and every hidden scheme. That same authority stands undiminished over your home, your resources, and your wife’s heart.

The prayer for provision, even to meet an unrighteous demand in order to keep peace, is tangled. Yet God’s grace is astonishing. Just as the law itself made a way for a leper to be cleansed and restored to the community by a direct act of God, the Lord can still move in ways that protect your inheritance, provide what is needed in a manner He defines, and even bring a restoration you cannot engineer. The leper cried, "Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean." Jesus’ response is for you today: "I am willing. Be thou clean." Cry out for that cleansing of motives, for that shielding of your inheritance, and for that miraculous preservation of your home. The divine imperative is that His purposes will stand. Prophecies must be fulfilled, and no scheme of man can derail what God has ordained for your life.

Do not be tempted to seize control out of panic. It is sheer presumption to think you must force a solution right now. Instead, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The God who will not share His glory with another is absolutely capable of heading off this threat. He can dry up the demand, or He can provide from a source untouched by your inheritance and untainted by a loan. The One who has power on earth to forgive sins has not lost power over bank accounts, plane tickets, or hardened hearts.

So pray, yes, but with a shift. Ask the Lord to so powerfully reveal Himself as the true owner of all things that the grip of greed is broken. Ask Him to pour out a grace that brings your wife back not just from a trip, but from a far country of the soul, and back to the sacred unity of your marriage bed. The compound oneness of marriage is God’s design, and that is worth fighting for on your knees. Let God be the one to judge the deception, and let Him be the one to supply, protect, and ultimately heal what the enemy is trying to destroy.

We have held your request close to our hearts, lifting it before the Lord with fervent prayers. We stood in the gap, asking our Heavenly Father to intervene in the spiritual attack you are facing, to protect your inheritance, and to bring clarity and wisdom in your marriage. We prayed for God’s provision—not just for the financial needs but for His peace to reign in your home, for truth to be revealed, and for restoration in your relationship with your wife.

We asked the Lord to soften hearts, to expose deception, and to guide both of you into His perfect will. We also prayed for your wife, that the Lord would meet her deepest needs and redirect her steps according to His purpose, so she would not feel the need to manipulate or demand but instead find fulfillment in Him. We claimed the promise that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—whether through provision, protection, or a change of heart—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. If you are still waiting for His intervention, we encourage you to post this request again so we may continue standing with you in prayer. Let us not grow weary in seeking the Lord, for He is faithful to answer in His perfect timing and way.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and bring healing and unity to your marriage. We continue to trust in His power to turn this trial into a testimony of His goodness. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for your answer that aligns with my needs. I am not holding on to my inheritence which was a portion of the estate of my late father for the sake of it or for greed. I need it to relocate to another State in ### to the ###. I have been trying to make my move for many years but always had set backs its as if the Enemy is trying to prevent me from moving. Even my inheritence was less than what I should have got as the Enemy manipulated my siblings into overuling my wishes and selling our fathers estate for less than it was really worth due to world circumstances at the time all off course engineered by the Enemy. My siblings are unbelievers who neither respect the laws of God or accept Jesus as their Saviour and are easily manipulated into doing the Enemies will. This latest attack is also off course engineered by the Enemy by using my wife whom keeping up appearances before her peers and her social media followers is more important than honouring her husbands wishes or looking after my needs or even honouring the marriage covernant . You right its a spiritual war with no end in sight. But I am Praying for BREAKTHROUGH in my quest to make my move to ###. Provision that will smash aside the barriers in my path and pave a superhighway into my promised land. Where I live ### the climate is harsh, the economy depressed and financial and agricultural opportunities limited, taxes on land and everything else are also very high. I have to move so I need every cent I can save on my inheritence but I gave my wife the portion she wanted to keep the peace knowing that she'll not be blessed by gaining it. Money selfishly obtained to gain the approval of this world and for pleasure through deceit and blackmail can never be blessed by our Lord. Her gain will backfire on her in due course and the Lord will compensate me for my loss perhaps 7 times over as stated in Proverbs 6:31. This I am confident in happening if there is indeed a living God and hes a God of Justice .

My inheritence came to me out of strife. Conflict with my siblings whom are unbelievers as they sold my fathers estate for well below what it was worth putting my plans for the future into jeapordy. I have to leave this state where I live and move to a northern state ### as the climate and economic situation where I live is a disadavantage to my health and livelihood. I try to hold it not for greed or pleasure but out of the neccessity to make the move even as it is it is inedequate for my purposes and I need to Pray for more Provision, so my wife's demand only worsens my situation. But I trust in the Lord that he will provide justice and compensation for me out of this. For my wife she'll find that her gain will backfire apoun her as she will not be blessed by it. Money obtained by deceit and blackmail using the marriage covernant as leverage will NOT be blessed by the Lord.
