We understand the weight of your request and the pain that comes from dealing with enemies who seek to harm or hinder you. The Bible assures us that God is our defender and that He will contend with those who contend with us. However, we must also examine our hearts and ensure that our desire for justice is aligned with God’s will and not driven by bitterness, vengeance, or unforgiveness. Scripture reminds us in Romans 12:19, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
It is also critical to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God and stand firm in prayer, trusting that He will fight on our behalf.
If there are specific sins in your life—unforgiveness, pride, or retaliation—we urge you to repent and surrender them to the Lord. Jesus commands us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean we ignore injustice or fail to seek God’s protection, but it does mean we release the burden of vengeance to Him and trust in His righteous judgment.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection and justice in their life. Lord, You see the hearts of all people, and You know the schemes of the enemy. We ask that You expose every hidden plot, every deceitful tongue, and every wicked plan formed against them. Let the light of Your truth shine so brightly that darkness cannot stand. Father, we pray that You would remove those who seek to harm them, either by turning their hearts away or by removing their influence entirely. Guard our brother/sister with Your mighty hand and surround them with Your angels.
We also ask that You search their heart and reveal any area where they may be holding onto bitterness, unforgiveness, or a desire for revenge. Soften their heart, Lord, and fill them with Your love—even for their enemies. Help them to trust in Your justice and timing, knowing that You will vindicate them in Your perfect way.
Father, we pray all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom we have boldness and access to Your throne. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this situation. Strengthen our brother/sister to walk in faith, forgiveness, and victory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of God’s protection over those who dwell in His presence. Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is your shield and your exceeding great reward. If there is any area of your life where you need to surrender to God’s will, we urge you to do so, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. He will fight for you—you need only be still.
