Praying for a closer walk with God for healing newness of life hope restoration encouragement deliverance from strongholds

We hear your cry for a deeper, more intimate walk with God, and we stand with you in this sacred pursuit. The longing in your heart is not by accident, it is the Holy Spirit drawing you closer to the Father, who delights in revealing Himself to those who seek Him with their whole heart. The Word declares, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). This is a promise we can stand on, a truth that does not waver, no matter how distant you may feel in this moment.

We rejoice with you in the hope of healing, for our God is the Great Physician who binds up the brokenhearted and restores what has been lost. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Whether your wounds are physical, emotional, or spiritual, He sees them, and He is able to bring wholeness where there has been brokenness. The newness of life you seek is found in Christ alone, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is not just a future hope, it is a present reality for those who surrender their lives to Him.

We also lift up your desire for deliverance from strongholds, for our God is mighty to save and break every chain. The enemy seeks to keep you bound in patterns of sin, fear, or despair, but Jesus came to set the captives free. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells you freedom is not possible. The blood of Jesus has already secured your victory, walk in it!

If there are areas of your life that do not align with God’s Word, we gently but firmly encourage you to bring them into the light. Confess any sin, and turn away from it, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Strongholds often thrive in secrecy, but the light of Christ exposes and destroys them. Do not let shame or guilt keep you from running to Him, He is waiting with open arms.

We also want to remind you that your walk with God is not meant to be walked alone. The body of Christ is here to support, encourage, and pray for you. "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25). Seek out fellowship with other believers who can spur you on in your faith.

Father God, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up our dear brother/sister who longs for a closer walk with You. Lord, we ask that You would draw them near, that they would feel Your presence in a tangible way. Heal every wound, restore what has been broken, and breathe new life into their spirit. Break every stronghold that seeks to keep them bound, and replace lies with Your truth. Fill them with hope, peace, and joy that surpasses all understanding. Help them to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them. Surround them with godly community, and give them the strength to persevere. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

Keep pressing in, dear one. The journey may not always be easy, but it is worth it. God is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone, we are with you, and more importantly, God is with you. Walk in His truth, and let His light guide your path.

We hear the deep longing in your heart, for a closer walk with God, for healing, fresh hope, and freedom from whatever has held you. That ache itself isn’t a sign that you’re failing; it’s often the Spirit stirring you toward the newness of life you’re asking for.

Sometimes strongholds keep their grip by making us feel isolated or by draining our energy to reach out. One small but powerful step can be to simply worship, even when you don’t feel like it. Singing truth aloud, even through tears, can shift your gaze away from the weight and back onto the One who is bigger. We’ve seen how praise helps people step into hope when hope feels far away. You might also consider inviting a trusted Christian friend or pastor to pray with you regularly, not as a one-time event but as an ongoing partnership. You don’t have to fight alone.

If the struggle has been long and patterns feel stubborn, a wise pastor or Christian counselor can offer prayerful discernment and support alongside you. There’s no shame in that; it’s part of the body of Christ caring for each other.

We’re praying with you now:
Lord Jesus, thank you for the genuine desire you’ve placed in this heart. Come and bring the healing, newness, and full restoration only you can give. Break every stronghold and lift the heaviness that feels so constant. Pour in fresh courage and hope, and guide them to the right kind of help and companionship. You are the Deliverer, and we trust you to complete the good work you’ve begun. In your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The terrible tangle of your present sorrow is known to me, for many have come just so to the house of God. You cry for hope, yet you are wearied in the length of your way and, in your weariness, you begin to fancy that mercy itself is worn out. This is the arrow of the enemy: that God’s ear is shut and He will never move His arm to work deliverance for you. Do not entertain that lie. There is no hope for you in yourself. Your own devices, your own strivings, your own resolves, there is no hope in that bitter cistern. But there is a hope which is no mirage, and it is found in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as you. That hope turns from a distant possibility into a present possession through believing in Jesus Christ.

You ask for deliverance from strongholds, and that is a cry for the outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. Pharaoh holds his captives until the lamb is slain. If ever you rise from this despondency, you will never dare to take an atom of the honor to yourself, it must be of Free Grace only. God himself has found a ransom. He has not merely invented a way, but He has provided the full price of your deliverance. Therefore, do not doubt it, for God has said it, “I have found a ransom.” The wounds of the Crucified One are your healing. The very leaves of that tree are for your restoration; the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue, able to change the life-blood, affect the spirits, and make your nature other than it was before.

Come to Him just as you came at first, and cast yourself wholly upon Him. In the dust of self-abasement is the place for hope; when Nineveh repented, its threatened destruction was averted. This deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Where we look for justification, there we must also look for sanctification. And mark this: the fact that you pray at this moment, that your heart cries out, “Lord, have mercy upon me! Restore my soul!” is the best evidence that you are not utterly given over. I care not what else about you seems hopeful; if it cannot be said, “Behold, he prays,” there is no solid ground for hope. But bowing in your pew, you are speaking to the pitiless sea no longer, but to the God who heard Jacob at Jabbok. The eternal purpose of Jehovah has decreed the hour of your deliverance; the clock of mercy will strike.

Therefore, this newness of life you long for is the rightful inheritance of those who look to the Cross. You have a deliverance from worse enemies than Pharaoh, saved by a greater salvation. You shall have a foretaste of Heaven’s rest even here, for the men of grace have found glory begun below. Your road may be rough, but it cannot be long; smooth it with this hope and cheer it with song. And when the Lord has chastened you sorely and delivered your soul from the pit, then comes the believer’s true employment: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Your very prayer is a green shoot of life. He will restore your joy, and you shall find that where you have bewailed your fault, you have received deliverance.

You long for a closer walk with God, for healing, newness of life, hope, restoration, and deliverance from strongholds. That very longing is a precious gift. Do not despise it, even if you have heard the word many times and seemed to bear little fruit. For a tree may receive ten blows and not fall, yet afterward be brought down by a single stroke. So it is with the soul. The eager desire you feel, the love of hearing God’s voice, cannot fail to produce its effect in due season. Only continue. Do not grow weary.

But know this: no one part of virtue is sufficient for our salvation. It is not enough to be freed from one stronghold while remaining soft and careless about the hearing of the word. There must be a careful hearing, a continual recollection, fortitude, contempt for worldly things, and deliverance from every earthly entanglement. If you truly seek a closer walk, let nothing secular remain in your soul. When you come to hear God speak, come with a great stillness, as if God Himself were exhorting you. Receive the word as the Thessalonians did, enduring trials because you recognize it is not man but God who speaks.

The new and living way stands open before you. The gates of heaven have been thrown wide, even for those who once walked in the way of death. This way is Christ’s own flesh and blood. Unless you eat His flesh and drink His blood, you have no life in you. This is not a distant symbol; it is the necessary food for your soul. In the Eucharist, you are given the very medicine of immortality, the source of healing for every wound and deliverance from every fetter. Approach it, then, not with parade or vainglory, but as one who has tasted that Well and knows that all satisfaction is found there.

Do not ask for things pertaining to this life only; ask rather for remission of sins. For He gives it even now, if you are in earnest. The Samaritan woman did not declare Christ plainly; she said, “Come, see.” She paraded her own life before others, so that they might be attracted to Him. In the same way, let your own past be laid open before the Physician without shame. He already knows all. And as she was persuaded by hearing Him, so will you be, and your testimony will draw others.

Some were tortured and refused deliverance, looking forward to a better resurrection. You may not face such trials, but you are called to the same hope. Let that hope anchor your soul, so that you endure whatever is needed to break free from strongholds. Do not choose ease over holiness. Flee from the display of this life, for it chains you. In giving alms, in prayer, in fasting, seek only the approval of the Teacher, not the multitude. Be like God, who in healing told them to tell no man.

Therefore, rouse yourself and run to Him. Even if you have been insensible ten times, at the eleventh hearing you may be converted all at once. The desire you have is proof that the root is alive. Continue to hear, continue to receive the Eucharist, continue to hope. The full assurance of hope is yours in Christ, who has opened a new and living way. Let nothing earthly disturb your soul when you converse of spiritual things. And may you, becoming worthy of the admonitions of Christ, obtain the everlasting blessings.

There is no deeper longing you could express than to walk more closely with God, and that very pull on your heart is the Spirit drawing you toward what you were made for. God desires fellowship with you, a real, mutual sharing of life and love. When you walk in the light as He is in the light, that partnership becomes your experience, and it is there that fullness of joy is found. That is what newness of life looks like: not just a resolution, but a daily communion with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.

What breaks that fellowship is plain. Sin separates, as Isaiah made clear, your own wrong turns have put a barrier between you and God. But the good news is that you have a Savior who did not stay distant. He came from glory down to a cruel cross, bearing the judgment you deserved, and God raised Him from death because it was impossible for death to hold Him. His blood is able to cleanse you from all sin, right now, and keep cleansing you as you walk in the light. So do not let the shame of past strongholds or failures convince you that restoration is out of reach. The One who conquered the grave has all authority to deliver you.

Walking closely with God means walking the way Jesus walked. He is your example in love, giving, forgiving, and humbling Himself for the good of others. That kind of love is not a vague feeling; it puts off the old self with its greed and impurity, and puts on the new self created after Him in true righteousness. The strongholds you battle are not broken by your own willpower alone. They give way when you choose to walk after the Spirit instead of the flesh, and when you take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Let that Word fill your mind and guide your steps, and the darkness loses its grip.

Concerning healing and hope, remember that God’s ways are higher than our understanding. He works sovereignly, and healing does not depend on your personal righteousness or perfect faith. Sometimes He restores the body, and sometimes He gives a greater grace to sustain you through the trial. Either way, He is with you. Look to Him as the Almighty who nourishes your soul and holds your every need in His hands. You can ask boldly, “Lord, deal bountifully with me,” because He is not stingy; He desires to bless you with life and peace.

Do not think of His commandments as fences to keep you from joy. They are the path to a life that truly satisfies. When you walk in His ways with your whole heart, you discover that His law brings happiness, not restriction. Half-hearted commitment will always falter, but a wholehearted surrender to walk before Him, to walk after Him, and to walk in Christ unlocks the power to become all He intends you to be. That is where hope and encouragement spring up afresh.

You are a child of God by faith, an heir of salvation. So walk worthy of that calling, not in pride, for a real encounter with Jesus humbles us to the dust, but in quiet confidence that His grace is sufficient. Pour out your request for a closer walk, for deliverance, for restoration. He hears and He will lead you into that newness of life, as you abide in Him and walk in truth and love.
