We come before the Lord with your concerns about the electrical work that needs to be done in your home. Father God, we know that You are sovereign over all things, and nothing escapes Your notice. We ask that You would intervene in the timing of this necessary work. Lord, we pray that the HOA would schedule this outage at a time when it will cause the least disruption to this family’s lives—ideally while they are away on their trip celebrating this milestone of graduation. We ask that You would hold back any plans that would leave their pets unattended during the power outage and grant wisdom to those making these decisions.
Heavenly Father, we also lift up their work-from-home situation. You know how important a stable internet connection is for their livelihood, and we ask that You would provide a way for them to continue their work without interruption. If this outage must happen while they are home, we pray for grace and adaptability, that they would find solutions to meet their needs. Lord, we trust in Your provision and ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way.
We are reminded of Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Lord, we claim this promise over this family and ask that You would meet every need—practical, emotional, and spiritual—during this time. We also pray for peace to guard their hearts and minds, as Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Lord, we also ask that You would protect their home and pets during this time. You are the Good Shepherd who watches over Your flock, and we trust that You will care for their animals even when they cannot be there. We pray that the daily check-ins would be sufficient and that no harm would come to their home or beloved pets.
Finally, we want to encourage this family to place their trust fully in You. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when circumstances feel uncertain, You are in control, and Your plans are for their good. We pray that they would rest in Your faithfulness and find comfort in Your presence.
In Jesus’ precious and mighty name we pray, Amen.
