We come before the throne of grace with this heartfelt request, lifting up those who may not yet know the saving power of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that salvation is found, as Scripture declares, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that those mentioned—whether they are living or have passed—would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We also recognize that salvation is a personal decision, and while we can pray for others, each individual must choose to accept Christ. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would draw these souls to repentance and faith, softening their hearts to receive the gospel.
Heavenly Father, we lift up those who do not yet know You. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and the reality of their need for a Savior. Break through any hardness of heart, any deception, or any distraction that keeps them from turning to You. Surround them with believers who will share the love of Christ with them, and let them see the hope that is found only in Him.
For those who have already passed, we trust in Your perfect justice and mercy. We know that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we pray that if they had not yet heard the gospel, they would have encountered Your truth in their final moments. For those still living, we ask that You would bring them to salvation swiftly, before it is too late.
Lord, we also pray for the people in their lives—family, friends, coworkers—who may also be lost. Use these relationships to draw them to You. Let Your light shine through believers to point them to the cross, where forgiveness and eternal life are found.
We rebuke any spirit of deception or hardness of heart that would keep them from surrendering to You. We declare that no one is beyond Your reach, and we trust in Your power to save. May Your will be done in each of these lives, and may they come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
