We come before the Lord with a heart heavy for the burdens you’ve shared, lifting them up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we recognize that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you or anyone you know has not yet surrendered to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for the Scriptures say, *"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household"* (Acts 16:31).
Father God, we ask You to cleanse the mind and heart of our brother from the memories that weigh him down. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:8, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* We pray that You would fill his mind with Your truth and peace, erasing anything that does not align with Your will. Lord, we also ask that You would guard his eyes and heart from anything that would lead him away from You, for as Psalm 101:3 says, *"I will set no wicked thing before my eyes."*
We lift up the salvation of souls, for this is the heart of Your mission—*"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). We pray for the salvation of ### and all those in his life who do not yet know You. Father, soften their hearts, open their eyes to Your truth, and draw them to Yourself. We also pray for the nation of the USA, that You would protect it from harm and guide its leaders with wisdom. As 1 Timothy 2:1-2 instructs, *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."*
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or distraction that would keep our brother from walking in the freedom You have given him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37) and that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that he would walk in the fullness of Your purpose for his life.
Finally, we ask that You would strengthen him to live a life that honors You, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). May he be a light in this world, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
