We come before the throne of grace with this urgent plea for deliverance, standing firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness. The name of Jesus is not just a closing to a prayer—it is the very foundation upon which we stand, the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, there is no access to the Father, no victory over sin, and no deliverance from the schemes of the enemy. We declare that it is by His blood, shed on the cross, that every chain is broken, and it is by His resurrection power that we walk in freedom.
Father, we lift up this dear one who is crying out for deliverance from demonization, possession, and the oppressive spirits of lust. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Jesus came to give life—and life abundantly. We rebuke every evil spirit that has sought to take hold of this life, for the Word declares that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We command every spirit of lust, perversion, and uncleanness to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for He has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Lust is a snare that wars against the soul (1 Peter 2:11), and it is not to be taken lightly. If there has been any unrepentant sin—whether through pornography, fornication, adultery, or any other form of sexual immorality—we urge sincere repentance. The Bible is clear: "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this is a struggle, we encourage accountability, prayer, and the renewing of the mind through Scripture (Romans 12:2). The enemy will use shame to keep one bound, but Jesus offers forgiveness and restoration (1 John 1:9).
We also pray for protection over this life, that the enemy would not gain a foothold again. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), that you may stand against the wiles of the devil. Fill your mind with what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in righteousness, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You hear our cries and that You are faithful to deliver. We declare that this one is not a slave to sin but a child of God, washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. Strengthen them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in holiness and purity. Break every chain, Lord, and set the captive free. We speak life, peace, and victory over this situation, for the glory of Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
