We hear your cry for cleansing from anger, and we stand with you in seeking God’s peace and transformation. Anger itself is not sinful—even our Lord Jesus displayed righteous anger at injustice—but when it festers into bitterness, resentment, or uncontrolled outbursts, it grieves the Holy Spirit and disrupts our fellowship with God. The Word warns us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB). Unchecked anger gives the enemy footholds in our lives, distorting our judgment and hardening our hearts.
Let us pray together for your deliverance and renewal:
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that only through Him do we have access to Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is struggling with anger. We ask You to search their heart and reveal any roots of bitterness, unforgiveness, or pride that may be fueling this struggle. Cleanse them thoroughly by the blood of Jesus, washing away every trace of unrighteous anger. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23 WEB).**
**Father, we rebuke the spirit of anger that seeks to control and destroy. We declare that this one is not a slave to sin but a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Christ. Teach them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB) and to respond to provocation with grace and wisdom. Surround them with godly counsel and accountability, and let Your Word dwell in them richly, guiding their actions and reactions. May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God (James 1:19-20 WEB).**
**Lord, we also ask that You heal any wounds or injustices that may have contributed to this struggle. Whether it is past hurts, betrayal, or unmet expectations, we ask that You bring restoration and peace. Let Your love cast out all fear, and let Your forgiveness flow through them to others. We pray that they would walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for them, no longer bound by the chains of anger but living as a testimony of Your transforming power. In Jesus’ name, we pray.
