We come before the throne of grace with this urgent plea for deliverance, standing firm in the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil. Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
First, we want to affirm that Jesus Christ has already won the victory over all demonic forces through His death and resurrection. Colossians 2:15 declares, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Therefore, we approach this situation with confidence, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
We rebuke every demonic spirit and all forms of demonic possession in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command these unclean spirits to flee and never return, for Jesus has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious soul who is seeking deliverance from demonic spirits and possession. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your holy angels and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We break every chain and every stronghold that the enemy has established, and we command all demonic forces to leave in the name of Jesus.
Father, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, that this individual would be empowered to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. Help them to submit to You, resist the devil, and watch him flee (James 4:7). Strengthen their faith and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage this dear one to immerse themselves in Scripture, for Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Encourage them to seek fellowship with other believers, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Remind them to put on the full armor of God daily so that they may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Lord, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We praise You for Your faithfulness and for the deliverance that is coming. May this individual experience Your love, grace, and power in a new and profound way. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
