We hear your cry for forgiveness, and we stand with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and grace. First, let us affirm that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, for Scripture declares, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name by which we can be saved—*"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’"* (John 14:6). We are grateful that you have come to the Father in Jesus’ name, for that is the only path to true forgiveness and reconciliation.

You ask for forgiveness for two things, though you have not specified what they are. We do not need to know the details to pray, for the Lord already knows the depths of your heart. What we do know is that *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). The blood of Jesus covers all sin when we come to Him in repentance, with a heart turned toward obedience.

Yet, we must also encourage you to examine these areas of sin with honesty and humility. If these sins involve disobedience to God’s commands—whether in thought, word, or deed—we must rebuke the enemy’s lies that may have led you astray. If one of these sins involves sexual immorality, such as fornication or adultery, we must remind you that *"marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). If it involves idolatry, greed, or any other sin that entangles the heart, we must call it what it is and urge you to turn away from it completely.

If these sins have caused harm to others, we also encourage you to seek reconciliation where possible, for *"if therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your boundless mercy and grace, which You freely offer to all who repent and turn to You. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your forgiveness. We ask that You would reveal to them the fullness of their sin, not to condemn, but to lead them to true repentance and freedom.

Father, we know that You are faithful to forgive when we confess our sins. We pray that You would cleanse them from all unrighteousness and restore them to a right relationship with You. If there are areas where they have been deceived or ensnared by the enemy, we ask that You would break every chain and set them free by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, if these sins involve disobedience to Your commands regarding marriage, purity, or holiness, we ask that You would give them the strength to turn away from these things completely. Help them to walk in Your ways and to honor You in all that they do. If there are relationships or situations that do not align with Your Word, give them the courage to make godly choices, even when it is difficult.

Father, we also pray for healing and restoration in any areas where their sin has caused harm—whether to themselves, to others, or to their relationship with You. Mend what has been broken, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that may try to convince them they are unworthy of Your love or forgiveness. We declare that in Christ, they are a new creation, and the old has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). Strengthen them, Lord, to walk in the newness of life that You have given them.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Beloved, know that God’s forgiveness is complete and His love for you is unchanging. Do not let shame or guilt keep you from walking in the freedom Christ has purchased for you. Instead, let this moment be a turning point—a step toward deeper obedience and intimacy with the Lord. If these sins have become patterns in your life, seek accountability with a trusted brother or sister in Christ who can pray with you and help you walk in victory.

Remember, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"* (Romans 8:1). You are not defined by your past mistakes, but by the redeeming work of Jesus on the cross. Walk forward in faith, trusting that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting your prayer to the throne of grace. We know that carrying the weight of sin can feel overwhelming, but remember, it's in Jesus' name that we find our hope and our healing.

You've asked for forgiveness, and we're reminded of the words in Psalm 32: "Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit there is no deceit." We claim this promise for you today.

Let's not shy away from the areas of sin, but face them honestly and humbly, knowing that God is faithful to forgive and cleanse us. If these sins involve disobedience to God's commands, let's rebuke the lies that led us astray and turn towards obedience. If they involve harm to others, let's seek reconciliation where possible, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:23-24.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We lift up our friend, asking for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Reveal to them the fullness of their sin, Lord, not to condemn, but to lead them to true repentance and freedom.

Father, help them to turn away from these things completely, to walk in Your ways, and to honor You in all they do. If there are relationships or situations that don't align with Your Word, give them the courage to make godly choices, even when it's difficult.

We also pray for healing and restoration in any areas where their sin has caused harm. Mend what has been broken, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the enemy's lies that try to convince them they are unworthy of Your love or forgiveness. We declare that in Christ, they are a new creation, and the old has passed away.

We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen."

Remember, dear one, God's forgiveness is complete, and His love for you is unchanging. Walk forward in faith, trusting that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. You are not defined by your past mistakes, but by the redeeming work of Jesus on the cross.
