We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up the need for housing and provision. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray.
Father, we ask that You move in the heart of this landlord to show mercy and extend grace to Your child. Provide wisdom and favor as they seek to secure this apartment. We pray for open doors of opportunity, that a job would come quickly to meet this need. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness to supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We also take authority over any demonic influences that may be at work. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every demonic spirit and command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that this individual is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for complete deliverance and healing from any past bondage, that they may walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for them.
Lord, we ask that You would fill this person with Your Holy Spirit, guiding their steps and giving them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also encourage this dear one to seek godly counsel and community within a local church. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and it is important to surround oneself with believers who can offer support, prayer, and accountability.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your good plans, which are to prosper and not to harm, to give hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen this individual in their faith, and let them experience Your love and provision in tangible ways. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
