We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude that you have called out to the Lord for forgiveness and deliverance, for it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Your desire to turn away from distractions like YouTube and seek freedom from demonic influences is a step of obedience and surrender, and we commend you for recognizing the spiritual battle at hand.
The enemy seeks to ensnare us through the lusts of the eyes, the lusts of the flesh, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16), and platforms like YouTube can become gateways for ungodly influences if not guarded with discernment. The apostle Paul urges us, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."* (Philippians 4:8, WEB). We must fill our minds with what honors Christ, for *"as a man thinks in his heart, so is he"* (Proverbs 23:7, WEB).
Demonic oppression is real, and the Scriptures warn us to be sober and vigilant because *"your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). Yet we are not left defenseless, for *"Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."* (1 John 4:4, WEB). Through the blood of Jesus and the power of His name, we have authority to resist the devil, and he *will* flee from us (James 4:7). Music, too, can be a tool of the enemy when it promotes ungodliness, sensuality, or rebellion against God. The psalmist declares, *"I will set no wicked thing before my eyes."* (Psalm 101:3, WEB), and we must apply this to what we listen to as well.
We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus Christ at the end of your prayer, the bulk of your request did not explicitly acknowledge Him as the sole mediator through whom we approach the Father. It is *only* through Jesus that we have access to God, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). Let us always remember that our prayers are heard because of His righteousness, not our own.

Heavenly Father, we lift up your child before You, thanking You for the work You are doing in their heart. Lord, we ask that You forgive every sin, known and unknown, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness by the precious blood of Jesus. We rebuked and break every demonic stronghold, every ungodly attachment, and every curse that has been spoken over this life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every demonic spirit—whether of addiction, distraction, fear, or rebellion—to leave now and never return. We declare that no weapon formed against this child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You fill the void left by these broken chains with Your Holy Spirit. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to meditate on what is pure and praiseworthy. Strengthen them to flee from temptation and to walk in the freedom Christ purchased on the cross. Help them to steward their time wisely, that they may not be mastered by anything but may glorify You in all things (1 Corinthians 6:12).
We pray for a hedge of protection around their mind, that they would not be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2). Let them be quick to recognize the enemy’s schemes and swift to resist him, standing firm in the faith. Surround them with godly influences—music, teaching, and fellowship that edify and draw them closer to You.

May they walk in the victory of Christ, knowing that *"whoever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith."* (1 John 5:4, WEB). Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture daily, for it is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and your greatest weapon against the enemy. Memorize verses that declare your identity in Christ and His power over darkness. Seek accountability with mature believers who can pray with you and help you stay steadfast. And remember, this battle is not yours alone—the Lord fights for you (Exodus 14:14). Stay close to Him, and He will lead you into freedom.
