We join you in lifting up this earnest cry for deliverance, for we know the power of music to influence the mind, heart, and spirit—whether for godliness or for corruption. The Scriptures warn us in **Ephesians 5:18-19**, *"Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord."* If the music you are exposed to glorifies darkness, sensuality, violence, or rebellion against God, it is not of Him, and we must flee from it as we would from any other snare of the enemy.
The apostle Paul also reminds us in **1 Corinthians 10:20-21**, *"But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons. You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons."* Music that aligns with the world’s values often carries spiritual strongholds, and we must be vigilant to cast down anything that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ (**2 Corinthians 10:5**).
We praise you for recognizing the need for deliverance and for invoking the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). It is only through His authority that we can break the chains of darkness. Let us also remind you of **James 4:7**, *"Be subject therefore to God.
