We understand your heart’s cry for protection and purity, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. The fear of the "evil eye" or the gaze of others causing harm is a concern that many have faced, but we must anchor our trust in the sovereignty and protection of God alone. The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 29:25 (WEB)**, *"The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe."* Our confidence must rest in the Lord, not in the fear of what others may do or intend against us.
It is also important to clarify that while we are called to be wise and discerning, we must avoid superstition or attributing power to curses, charms, or the stares of others beyond what Scripture teaches. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness, as **Ephesians 6:12 (WEB)** tells us: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Our protection comes from the Lord, and we are to clothe ourselves in His armor—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.
We also note that you invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we praise God for this! There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repenting of sin and surrendering your life to Him. He alone breaks every chain and sets the captive free.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your protection and cleansing for Your child. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask that You would guard them from every scheme of the enemy, whether seen or unseen. Break any power of fear or superstition in their life and replace it with a deep, unshakable trust in You. Cleanse them from any influence of darkness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light of Your truth.
Father, we pray that You would surround them with Your divine favor as a shield, as **Psalm 5:12 (WEB)** says, *"For you will bless the righteous. Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield."* Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned. We rebuke any spirit of fear or oppression in the name of Jesus Christ and declare that Your child is covered by the blood of the Lamb.
Lord, we also ask that You would purify their heart and mind. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and finisher of their faith, rather than on the stares or opinions of others. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won on the cross. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let it guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. May Your child experience Your presence in a fresh and powerful way, knowing that You are their protector, provider, and deliverer. We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on **Psalm 91 (WEB)**, which is a powerful reminder of God’s protection over those who dwell in His presence. Verses 1-2 say, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* Let this be your declaration of faith.
Additionally, we urge you to examine your heart and ensure that there is no unconfessed sin or idolatry that could give the enemy a foothold. **1 Peter 5:8-9 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."* Stand firm in your faith, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (**James 4:7**).
If you feel led, we also encourage you to fast and pray, seeking the Lord with a humble and contrite heart. He draws near to those who draw near to Him (**James 4:8**). May the Lord strengthen you and keep you in all your ways.
